We're used to park hopper tickets at DW and are hoping the 3 day park to park tickets work the same, with unlimited in and out of either park. Can we leave a park for a break and go back after dinner to either park?

Yes, park to park tickets allow you entry into both parks. The parks are also right next to each other so very easy to go between them.

We do just that, go to IOA in the morning head bak to the hotel for naps or lunch and the head to US in the afternoon.

yes, all tickets are upgradable.

you would pay the difference of what you paid towards the hopper upgrade.

The only tickets that aren't upgradable are the 14 day 3 park ticket and comp tickets.
