Ticket question

Hi- Hoping someone can answer this. My Premeir pass has expired so I need to decide what to do next. I have a "mommy is running away" trip planned in March but I'm not sure I want to renew then since our summer trip is at this point "iffy" due to "band camp" and that freshmen have to report to school 3 days early so Aug 6. Also, the kids renew in July so I may just wait and renew everyone then so we are same schedule or if July doesnt happen- renew when we get to DL in October..
Anyway, I have some UNUSED NON-EXP 10 DAY WPM passes from a few years ago that I could use for this trip.. But, If I decided to just go ahead and get my annual pass- do I need to upgrade this before or after I use it at all.. Also, can I upgrade this to a Premier pass ( bi-coastal)?

As far as I know, the 10 day pass canbe upgraded, as long as it is within 14 days of the first use.

If you purchased the pass from Disney, and the price is the same as when you bought it, there is no need to use it before upgrading.

If there have been price increases since you purchased it, or if you purchased it from an authorized reseller, you should use the pass for park entry at least once, then upgrade it, this will give you the current value of the 10 day pass.

If the 10 day pass cost more than the AP to which you are upgrading, you will not receive a refund of the difference.

At least that is the info I seem to remember from all the ticket posts.

I think this was bought in 2008- anyone know what the price was then? ( although I did buy from Undercover Tourist)

My understanding when I spoke to them was you could use the ticekt to upgrade at different park. As far as its value... no idea, sorry.
