This may seem like a dumb question but...

Do they really check for ID on tickets? I know a new Fl resident who would get me tickets but dont want to go through the hassle if its going to cause a problem. Any ideas??? :confused3

Thanks
Tamika

Florida residents can buy tickets (up to 6 tickets, I think) for friends and family. The people they buy them for do not have to be FL residents. If she orders online and picks them up at the kiosk or chooses print-at-home tickets, then she won't need her ID. She will need FL ID if she picks the tickets up at Guest Services Will-call window. The person buying the tickets must be a FL resident but her guests do not have to be. So she may have to show FL ID but you wouldn't have to.

Thanks for that information, very helpful, I was wondering the same thing. We have friends that live in Tampa and were hoping they might be able to get us tickets since the tickets prices have gone up.

Going one further and asking if FL residents can buy passes for friends/family. Example: the Power Pass, 12 months unlimited access to both parks. Can a FL resident buy this for friends/family, and if so, do the friends/family have to show ID? Are these passes restricted to FL residents?

TIA to anyone who knows!!! :)

The FL Power passes can only be used by a FL resident so your friend would not be able to purchase that for you.

Thanks Phamton, seems I have a call to make...lol :cool1::cool1:

When I called, she told me the FL resident had to be there with me when I entered the park even if the FL resident bought them online?

FL residents can give tickets as gifts to anyone. If you received it for Christmas then you wouldn't have the person with you. I'm just sayin'.

I love what you're sayin', don't get me wrong. I talked to someone else there who said the FL resident has to be with you the first time you use them. I asked her if you print them at home does that mean they check IDs right at the gate and she said that is the rule, but then she waffled a bit and said they don't always check IDs at the gate if it's a busy time. We are staying with a friend who lives in FL but he cannot go with us but would get us the tix online. I'm afraid with my luck I would get the new employee who follows the letter of the law and then I am out $300.
