ticket question (sorry!)

I currently have a7 day/6 night reservation with the dining plan, park tix and room. I want to add a room only reservation for one night in the beginning of my trip at the same resort.

I called a Disney CM and explained. If I add an 8th day park tickets to my package, can I pick them up on the first day of my room only reservation And use the ticket before my package reservation begins. She said no, but I thought it was possible.

Does anyone know? And I guess, more importantly, does my question make sense?

I thought there used to be a whole sticky thread dedicated to tickets, but I can't seem to find it.

Yes, you can go to Guest Services and claim your tickets up to three days prior to the start of your package reservation. The phone agents will tell you that it's not possible, but it is.

Yes, you can use your tickets tied to your package up to 3 days early. The phone CMs always say it can't be done, but it can. You will have to go to a Guest Services location outside any of the parks or at Disney Springs.

It is possible. For some reason, phone CMs are not allowed to tell you that.

So when I check in to the resort, my magic bands won't have the park tickets activated- I'll have to get them activated directly at the park?

Again, thanks for the help. Also, will I get two sets of magic bands, or do I add the room only reservation to my package reservation?

Go directly to the Theme Park. Guest Relations is just outside the gate at each park. Also, 2 GR facilities at Downtown Disney. Have your resort package reservation info with you, and photo ID. You will get MagicBands with each reservation. Since you have room-only res. then package res., you'll have two MagicBands. You can use any MagicBand assigned to you on any day of your trip.
