Ticket Question & Misc Question

I was just curious how tickets work for DL. I will be going with work and right now it look like I will be able to spend 2 park days but possibly 3 or only 1. If I buy a 1 day park ticket at which point does it need to be upgraded? Also, can I upgrade it twice? It will be last minute on whether I can go a third day or not (basically how much sleep I need)

The misc question is how safe is the area surrounding DL? I'm looking to possibly walk to DL so that the car can be used by someone else. We are staying at the Anaheim Marriot Suites and it says its about 3 miles away but it looks like that is going all the way around. Are the streets wicked busy? This is two-fold; I'm also training for a race and prefer to run outside rather than in.

You can buy the one day, you just need to upgrade it before the parks close that first day. You can upgrade it again on the second day for that third day, you just pay the difference between value and gate price upon upgrade.

As far as the surrounding area, the immediate area is safe, but 3 miles from the park is a trek. That hotel has a shuttle to Disneyland, so you could always utilize that. I would say yes, the streets are busy (with traffic and pedestrians).

That's at Chapman and Harbor? It's just over 1.5 miles down Harbor from the Esplanade by sidewalk. It's 3 miles by car because of how you exit the parking garage.

In helps if you can be sure of minimum days before you buy, otherwise you can waste some time waiting fir the upgrade everyday.
