Ticket question for the budget minded

We got our GAD vouchers and are planning on one day at WDW this summer. (Mostly going to Universal this trip.)

We know we are going to WDW next spring when my son marches with his band. So we'll be in the parks 4 maybe 5 days. I'm not really sure. And then we'll go back 2 years later when the band goes again.

I'm trying to justify upgrading our GAD to a 10 day non-expiring. Will it be worth it over the course of a few years?

Help me with the logic....

Which band program? Will there be a ticket offer with the band preformance?

No tickets for the family with the band. My son will get tickets as part of his trip. We're just going as a family, not chaperones.

It will be worth it only if you plan to have exactly 10 park days during the 2 or 3 upcoming trips you have. Could also make sense if you like to visit a water park once or twice during each trip and will get the WPF&M option to use for 4 or 5 upcoming trips. You just don't want to end up having to buy more tickets because you need 2/3/4 more days - that totally wastes the money you are trying to save.

Personally, I'd bite the bullet and purchase 10 day tickets. We did a few years ago (non-expire) and it's nice not having to buy them everytime we go. We'll get 3 trips out of them.
