Ticket Question (are there problems having two sets of tickets?)

I read through the ticket FAQ and didn't see this addressed. I am helping a friend plan her first visit to Disney and have come across an issue I just don't know the answer to. My friend's brother works for ESPN and he has gotten the family one day PH tickets. I know those cannot be upgraded. However they want to go to the park for 4 days. They are planning on buying three day tickets and having the complimentary ticket for the fourth day.

So basically the question is:

When they buy the 3 day tix and link them in MDE, can they also put in the tickets from her brother in MDE as well? Or can you only have one set of tix in there?

I would like her to be able to book FP for all the days of tix she has, and I'm concerned that for her free ticket day she will just have to schedule them that morning, since having two sets of tix in MDE sounds like a recipe for disaster.

Does this make sense? I am just not even sure how to address the issue.

Thanks for any help!

1. I don't know. I'll guess no.

2. Sounds right.

3. Meh.

My suggestion is to NOT USE the complimentary tickets AT ALL on this trip.
Using the the comp ticket as a "4th day" will render what are actually very valuable tickets (a one-day ticket is "worth" about $100) down to a value of just about $22.
