ticket question 3 day base or 4 day park to park to AP

Hi there
I think the 4 day park to park pass costs more than an annual power pass? So if I trade in the 4 day tickets do I get money back?
We are a party of 5 and are going for 3 days this spring. 3 of us are going again in December. ..so just trying to figure out what to buy?

For our spring trip we do not really need 4 day park to park but saw a great deal with travelzoo. Otherwise I would buy the current buy 2 get 2 day free base ticket.

Yes, they will refund money if necessary. When we had tickets upgraded in September, it seems like they will give your ticket a gate price and compare it to the AP price. It is not clear whether the tickets with free days get full value or just the value of the days that were not free.

Too funny - I debated the exact same question.

I ended up buying the 4 day park to park. It was about $20 or so more per ticket than the 2+1 day ticket (which is what I need for my May trip). I am banking on being able to upgrade to Power Pass for next to nothing. If Power Pass prices go up too much or they use my paid value, I may not get Power Pass at all - I really don't "need" it - but would return if the price was right.

I got mine from cheaptickets. With a 6.88% cashback from ebates, it was the cheapest I found. I'm pretty sure I compared with Travelzoo too but I checked so many different places I can't be sure anymore.

Have you gone on your spring trip yet? Curious as to how it worked out for you if you did try to upgrade your ticket.
