Of course we all go back and in between tickermania and undercover tourist, ok well just off a fluke i went to disney's website to price out the tickets i want and even with tax it was 13 bucks less then these two vendors :confused3 I am a bit suprised!

Disney quotes prices pre-tax and the other two are priced post-tax (all inclusive). I just bought my son a ticket and it was a little cheaper than disney.

Updated to add: Did you go directly to their websites or did you use the discounts offered by someone like Mousesavers.com? You need to sign up for her monthly emails to receive those discounts.

Which tickets do you want?

with the tax is cheaper then using the mousesavers link

Something about the tickets offered must be different.
Were any options included?

Tell us which tickets you want and we'll show you how you are mistaken.

I sent you a pm with the information

Happy Lawyer is correct. For the tickets he wants (2-day base) - they are $5 less per ticket directly from Disney. TicketMania adds a $5/ticket convenience fee, and without that fee the prices would be identical.

I've never found much of a difference. /shrug

The only thing I ever see attractively priced from the brokers are the odd specials they have on 3-day passes, etc., but I never need those anyway.

I hear you but with this economy every little bit helps

I don't think that was rude.

By the way, TicketMania's One-day and Two-day tickets page has a paragraph RIGHT AT THE TOP explaining why 1-day and two-day tickets actually cost more from them than from WDW:

TicketMania's Page said:
There is a Convenience Fee of $5.00 added to Gate Price.
Disney has not offered us these tickets at a NET Rate(Wholesale Price), so to offset the merchant fees, shipping cost, and processing fees. We have had to add a $5.00 service fee to these tickets.

Oh, I completely understand that, LOL. When I'm without an AP and I check into regular tickets, I always look over at the brokers, and it never saves more than $2-5, so it's usually just easier for me to get my tickets Will Call from Disney, plus there is the added protection of not having to go through a 3rd party if there is an issue.

It was kinda rude..."Tell us so we can tell you how you are mistaken", assuming she didn't know what she was talking about. She did.

I don't think that was there when this thread began.

It's amazing what starting a thread on the DIS will do sometimes. ;)

It's been there at least since 10/31/06, the first time I looked at that page.

I've used TicketMania in the past, and as long as they have free shipping or resort delivery and are a few bucks cheaper than the advance price from WDW, I'll get my hoppers from them. But for the 1-day and 2-day tickets, since they are actually more expensive, I'd simply wait till I get to WDW and pick up my tickets there. It's only $5, but as HappyLawyer said, every little bit helps, and it's not like that extra $5 is going to save me any time or trouble - picking up a one-day ticket at the park gates usually only takes a few minutes.

Has anyone noticed a broker special on 3-day or 4-day passes lately? That's the length we need as we will only be in Disney for four days in February. Thanks

Sorry, I didn't mean to be rude. You didn't give much information in your post. So I made assumptions that turned out to be incorrect.

When you said that you were comparing prices at Undercover Tourist and TicketMania, I just assumed that you must be looking for a type of ticket that both vendors actually offered. Undercover Tourist doesn't carry 1 or 2 day tickets, so I assumed you were looking for at least 3 day tickets, in which case, you would have been mistaken because they are all more expensive to buy directly through WDW.

Since you didn't tell us how many tickets you were looking for, I assumed that when you said they were $13 less at WDW, you meant $13 per ticket. In which case, you would have been wrong, since for 2 day tickets, it's $5 more at Ticketmania and Undercover Tourist doesn't even sell them.

I have recently used undercovertourist. Love them! Much cheaper than Disney. They arrived quickly...and were even the new design! (I love the "where glass slippers always fit" one! :cloud9: )
