If we are to arrive (late) Sunday night and go to dinner @ Epcot and leave the following Sunday - but only go to Downtown Disney....should we buy a 7 or 8 day pass? Do you need a pass to go to Downtown Disney?

Thanks!

No you don't need a pass for DTD and to tell the truth unless we have AP's we don't usually hit a park our arrival day either, unless its early in the am.

There are many great restaurants at the resorts (no park admission required) and you can access them via WDW transportation. If this sounds good you could save another day and do a 6 day MYW pass. Just a thought...

Some of our non-park arrival day ideas are:

dinner at Chef Mickeys and watch wishes from teh 4th floor deck;
dinner at Kona and watch wishes from the Polynesian beach
dinner at the Big River Grille (dh's fav) at the boardwalk and watch Illuminations from the bridge to Epcot.

even though it's only afew bucks if you are getting in late( like dinner time or so) i might skip epcot that day also unless it is emh pm or something..just how tired will you be, allow time to check in ect.....how late do you want to be out .
