Ticket mistake

i added my mothers I our trip and only got her a five day park hopper but now need six days. Is there anything I can do before we get to the resort?

you can one call disney and see if they can help you or you can go to GR at the park and add another day when you are there I do not think that will take much time.

Unless this ticket was purchased as part of a WDW resort package, it cannot have days added to it until the guest does so, in person, at a WDW ticket booth or Guest Relations.

The cost to add one day will be $10.65, including tax.

I didnt realize it till I did fast passes so I just left her off animal kingdom day. All we need for her is lion king and safari so hopefully I can get that when we get there. January 3 is our animal kingdom day so hopefully the parks won't be as crowded.

I wouldn't anticipate that being a problem at all.
(And, Lion King does not need a FP, regardless.)

Do you have a vacation package? As Robo stated, if you do, you can call Disney, add the extra ticket day now, and then make her FP bookings.

No I had all our tickets from a previous trip with ever expire days left. I just ordered her one from Undercover Tourist

It can have a day(s) added to it in person, at a WDW ticket booth or Guest Relations.

BUT... Be sure to USE that ticket at least one time to go into a theme park BEFORE you do the upgrade.

After doing that, the cost to add a day will be $10.65, including tax.
