Ticket holders at Walmart

I bought an ID holder at Walmart today for 97 cents. It is supposed to be for your ID but it is very study, clear plastic on a shoestring type necklace fastened with velcro. It appears to be waterproof with a ziplock type closure. I plan on putting my hoppers in it while we are in the parks to keep them from getting wet on the rides. They were being sold with the wallets.

I was browsing the Disney cruise forum and I saw that they have a thread about the Walmart lanyards over there. I would post it but the search is down but in that thread they specifically say that they are NOT waterproof. They look like they would protect against splashes of water but maybe not to be immersed in water. Thought I would pass this along.
