Ticket/Dining plan question

Do I need to buy a package to add the dining plan or can it be added to MYW park tix? We are joining DVC and our guests want to add the dining plan, but will be staying with us on points.

The dining plan is tied to hotel stay/package, not just tickets, so your friends will not be able to add them. I am sure that other people will be able to provide other options your friends might be eligible for.

Does anyone in your party have an AP? If so, they can purchase the Disney Dining Experience card. It is for FL residents and AP holders only, costs $50/year, and offers a 20% discount off the total bill for up to 10 in a party at almost every Table Svc restaurant on Disney property. There are some discounts for counter svc dining, too, but not very many. It might be a good option for you.

Yes, we have APs and plan to get the DDE card, but the discount is only good for the members' check. We would really rather get separate checks for most meals. Perhaps one of our guests would like to get their own AP and card. It looks like the only option for them right now. thanks.
