Ticket Deal ?

So, we zeroed out points last year for a planned California trip this year, then, well, you know. Now my in-laws have booked us a room using their points. Can we still call MS and obtain the 2-free day tickets even though the reservation wasn't using our points or are we out of the ticket deal?

I think I have read they will have to call because the reservation is on there membership. They will verify they qualify for the deal.

At the beginning I read that the member had to travel but recently read they do not.

Ugh. Thanks. It's never a problem, my in-laws are fantastic, I just hate transferring money.
