I saw the grand opening video of Tiana's Palace on Youtube today with my mom and from what we saw on the video Mom really liked the way Tiana's Palace was decorated and I liked the pictures of Tiana the restaurant had. I noticed that when you order a drink of the coffee you get a light up glow cube of Ray and I thought it was really cool and I wondered if anybody who got the chance to eat there today got one as well? The video then showed some of the food and the chicken entrees that Tiana's Palace had looked very authentic and then they showed the muffuletta sandwiches too and they looked great. Mom and I loved the fact that on the video that they say Dessert First then the food and I wonder how this is how New Orleans restaurants are run? The video didn't mention food prices but has a pick up window from what Mom and I saw. How much is a meal at Tiana's Palace? Is it pricey or is the prices the same prices when Tiana's Palace used to be French Market? I think this restaurant will do very well at Disneyland and especially since people like myself love The Princess And The Frog Disneyland will score a winner

I think Disneyland has high hopes for Tiana's Palace but I think that beginning with this restaurant Disneyland will transform New Orleans Square into a Tiana/The Princess And The Frog oriented land much like Epcot did to the Norway pavilion in World Showcase with a Frozen theme in Walt Disney World. I was discussing Tiana's Palace with my mom and I think they got the theme right but they should improve the food to be at least authentic New Orleans cuisine. My mother cannot figure out why the beignets have a lemon filling and they should've had real New Orleans beignets rather than the lemon filled beignets. I have made beignets myself twice for the holidays and you don't usually put filling in real beignets but filling is optional and powdered sugar and my beignets tasted marvelous when I did make them during the holidays. And I also find it shocking that the menu selection is small and missing other New Orleans cuisine. Like where is the jambalaya and what about chicken and biscuits and egg in a nest? And the drinks menu should have Southern sweet tea and mint juleps too added. And they should at least have a Tiana meet and greet outside so you can meet and take photos and get autographs with Tiana after your meal much like Be Our Guest in Walt Disney World does with The Beast. One thing that makes me curious is how much does the food cost at Tiana's Palace? Because the video my mom and I saw on Youtube didn't mention prices for food or meals
