we are at our booking window for next year and I can't make up my mind about the THV.

pros are
size wise they are ideal for what we need, each have our own bedroom

wouldnt have to use extra points or do cash nights
ds1 quite fancies them

cons are
our ds and gf (ds is 6') would need to sleep in the bunk bed room, wondering if the beds would be a bit small, for him anyway

they feel quite remote and the pool seems quite uninteresting

our son has special needs so we have an adapted car for him but also dad cant walk far (he hires his own car) and I know there is only parking for one vehicle

with our son being in a wheelchair does anyone know if the walk from the accessable THV to the pool is far, looks far on the map

other alternative is to book SSR and book a studio at SSR for them

other alternative is to do a split stay first half in the THV the other half at SSR. might be to late now to book the THV as I have waiting for the checkout date to do the booking so that I can book it all at once.

any feedback welcome

You could walk from one end of the treehouse area to the other in about 5 minutes. These maps always make distances look further than they are.

If I remember where the HA villas are located, it's about 2-3 minutes to the pool.

thanks Tim, been told 7006, 7007, 7047 and 7048 are the 4 handicapped accessable villas

oh dear  i just cant make up my mind

My advice is to book now and decide later:goodvibes

THV's have booked pretty quickly and if you need a HA Villa that limits the availability even more.

I would book when your window opens and continue to do research and read incoming reports.

It will be easier to get any other type of unit at SSR.

Bunk beds are small for adults. DD is 5'10" and found them OK, but a bit small. Next time we are going to try to have her use the sleeper sofa, and just keep her stuff in the bedroom. Could you do that with your DS?

::yes::

Sometimes it's even hard to get availability of handicapped units in even the bigger resorts, so if you think you want THV, do it as quickly as possible and make sure they block one of the HA villas for you.
