Just got back last night - luckily flew back into Albany, NY ahead of the wind and rain that we're having today.
Anyway, we went to O'hana for breakfast on Thursday to celebrate my youngest's 7th birthday. They were waiting for him with a birthday button (he already had one from the hotel, but wore that one all day, too - lol) and a personalized birthday card for him signed by all the characters.
We got to meet Mickey, Pluto, Stitch and Lilo. Mickey spent the least amount of time at our table but did take pictures with everyone who wanted them. But my gang was more interested in the other 3 anyway. Stitch was a hoot and made funny "paw" gestures over my son's head in some of the photos. Lilo was a doll and had a kissing-fest with my son - they took turns smooching each other! Pluto was by far the best, posing with all the grownups and then making his way over to the two teenaged boys who thought they were too grown up to pose with a character. This was the result of that interaction....
The food was great. Standard breakfast fare of scrambled eggs, home fries, bacon, sausage, biscuits, fruit, but it was hot, fast, and plentiful. I really liked the sausage and the Mickey waffles were a big hit with everyone. Our *cousin* was super great about keeping our table full of food, juice, and coffee. No one went wanting in our group of 9.
Our reservations were for 9:30 and we were called in right on time.
It seems that it can be pretty hit or miss there from what I've read, but I'm really glad we chose to go there. It was the perfect way to start the day for my son's 7th birthday.
