Throw Up on the Lap Bars Please- A June 2019 TR! COMPLETED 3/1!

Hopping aboard a little late! Enjoying your report so far and looking forward to reading more about your adventures.

I am also a Diet Coke addict . Totally agree about Diet Pepsi - yuck. When they ask if
Pepsi is ok at restaurants- uhm no ! They aren’t even close to being the same. I get water instead.

Jumping in late but still here! I'm only on page 2 but finished reading about your arrival. I can't believe someone was up walking around during take off. How?! I tried walking back to my seat once during a tiny bit of turbulence and pretty much ended up in a stranger's lap; how did that guy manage to keep walking while ascending into the air?! :confused3 :rotfl:

11:27 AM room text? Love that for you!

Yas! It was perfect!

"Corrupted" from too much data?!? Oh, yikes. That's a big ol' NOPE from me :scared:

Ugh I don't even understand! I didn't think we'd ever have DIsney tell us we come to Disney too much!

Another NOPE from this girl. C'mon, Epcot bus! Pull it together!!!

#theworst

PREACH! Not having to charge a bunch of chargers every night is the best! #TeamFuelRod

Yesss 💯💯

Glad you didn't leave before your room was ready!!

Me too! I would've been so annoyed!

That's nuts about Mike's MDE becoming corrupted!

Ugh it's an ongoing headache, I don't even understand :confused3

That stinks about the bus taking forever! The free for all bus stops are one thing I would really hate about staying at a Mod resort.

Yeah it's one thing I'm definitely not a fan of. If it's not a busy time, it's not a big deal but in the mornings when the buses are packed, it's crazy!

Cute PP pics in front of SE! You got them done just in time!

Thank you!

I'm going to guess you were headed to Ralph & Vanellope!

Great guess!

This was another big reason we opted not to do CBR. We traveled with two strollers and, while we could have requested ground floor, that's obviously not guaranteed. I didn't want to risk having to lug strollers up and down stairs every day. How nice that Bell Services took you on a direct drive to your room and lugged everything up the stairs for you!

Yeah lugging two strollers on those stairs would've been a nightmare for sure! It was really nice- we've never had that offered to us before!

How frustrating. If they completely deleted and recreated his account, I don't understand why they couldn't do it in such a way that the issue wouldn't follow him. There's that award winning Disney IT for you.

It's extremely frustrating and an ongoing issue. We obviously do go to WDW frequently but there are many people who go much more than we do and I don't understand why IT can't accommodate that.

30 minutes for a bus is really rough, especially because it was your first park visit of the trip. Glad you got to your FP in time.

We were so anxious to just be at a park already!

How ominous! AccuWeather must have a really tough time with pop up summer thunderstorms. I have been sitting in a torrential downpour while my phone says, "No precipitation expected for the next 120 minutes."

I feel like they should just hedge their bets in Florida and always say there's at least some chance of rain lol

I think it depends on how you plan to use it otherwise. Fuel Rods are super convenient for Disney travel, but if you're also thinking about other, non touristy destinations, you're stuck with a lower power portable charger.

Good point. We do have other portable chargers which are more convenient for other travel but for WDW, I only bring the fuelrod.

Ugh definitely not even close!! I drink it when I have to but it doesn't make me happy.

I have NO idea!! It was so bizarre - he was so nonchalant about the whole thing!

I'm glad you got into your room before you headed to Epcot! It's nice to feel settled. I don't love the lack of color on the beds nowadays - I know it's more sanitary and all, but I think it makes the rooms look very monotonous and boring.

I do love that they've started more sliding doors to the bathroom area, though! They work so much better at blocking sound and light than the curtain!

I was really wishing I had @pkondz VIP transportation package at this point.

I know, right?! I don't know how he does it!

It is so frustrating when you see every possible bus (multiple times) except the one you want. Funnily enough, when we visited in 2015 we saw Caribbean Beach busses EVERYWHERE. I bet we saw at least three of them for each one from another resort. We joked we should've stayed there for better bus service!

Hooray for arriving within the grace period of your FP window! And even better that you missed the storm during your ride! (Even though you missed out on the VIP Bus Pass, at least you managed to get the @pkondz VIP Weather card! :thumbsup2 )

Joining in! This right here is what did it for me.

I

Because apparently, this was the theme of the day, someone was arguing with the flight attendant two rows ahead of us. Basically, she was telling him he had to sit up and put his seatbelt on for the descent and his response was "But, I'm taking a nap". The flight attendant looked at him and say "Oh really? I don't care. Safety first". I think she and I would be friends.

OMG. I love that flight attendant. I think she and I would be friends too.
And those people on the escalator? Wow. I would have pushed right past them pretending I didn't even see them.

Yay for CBR! It's our favorite resort, but I totally agree with you about the theming. (sp?) It seems like Disney is starting to stray away from the theming in rooms. I don't like it. Give me all the theming. That's why I'm at Disney.

I have no opinion on the bussing there. We always drive, so we have our car.

Looking forward to hearing about the rest of your trip! I'm so glad your room was ready so early and you got to get to Epcot!

All caught up. :)

I work full-time overnights as an Emergency Room nurse and by day, I'm a Disney travel agent.
So... you're saying you never sleep.
This trip marked my 21st trip to WDW!
:faint: Do you do 4/year???

OMG. Where is that from????
a million new popcorn buckets and souvenir cups (I have a problem).
My dad laid on the full guilt-trip that I was going to be away for Father's Day
As a father, I wholeheartedly approve of this tactic.
I know you can use the boarding pass on your phone, but not having a printed one makes me nervous for some reason. 🤷‍♀️
I was too... but now I wouldn't go back to paper. I much prefer the phone.
Except they got to the top of the escalator and stopped and stood there to text
:sad2:
TSA agent: Everything out of your pockets
Man in front of me: Does that include gum?
TSA agent: everything.

TSA agent: All electronics bigger than a cell phone need a separate bin.
Man in front of me: Does that include my cell phone?
TSA agent: Only if it's bigger than a cell phone :confused3:confused3
Wow.
People.... :sad2:
strongly considered getting ice cream at 5 am.
This is only right and just.
I absolutely hate the part before take-off, I think they call it taxi-ing?
Correct. :)
"Sir, the flight is literally taking-off right now- you NEED to sit down!!"

I turn around, and sure enough, there's a man taking a casual stroll down the aisle AS THE PLANE IS DIAGONAL IN THE AIR TAKING-OFF. He's not listening to the flight attendants screams, so other passengers on the plane start yelling and gesturing to him to sit down. Finally, he seemed to get the idea and sat.
 I wouldn't be surprised if you'd then said that the plane returned to land and he was escorted off the plane.
I mean... if you're a first time flyer, you listen to the spiel and no to stay seated. If it's not your first flight... you know to stay seated.

What, was there a full moon or something????
I should've made a drinking game out of how many times I wondered #howdothesepeoplemakeitthroughaday.
No one could survive getting that drunk.
Besides... your bladder is too tiny.
It was already almost 90 degrees out, so we decided to head to the pool! I only wish I had thought to put my bathing suit in my backpack because I felt a little weird opening my suitcase in the lobby, but I'm sure no one really noticed except me.
For a second there I thought you were going to say "because it felt a little weird swimming in our underwear/nude".
would've been a very short trip.
because I was pretty much blind from the sun, didn't realize the placement of the filter at first and once I did, I found it hilarious!
:lmao:
I had no idea Minnie swung that way.
To make a long story as short as possible, on our trip last October, Mike's MDE account apparently "corrupted" from too much data! We were literally in Magic Kingdom and suddenly couldn't make fastpasses or do anything at all. It took 3 visits to guest relations, 2 phone calls on my own to IT before an amazing CM at Fort Wilderness got to the root of the problem. They ended up deleting his entire account and rebuilding it and we had no more issues for the last few days of our trip. IT had warned us though that this may become a recurring issue on future trips so we weren't totally surprised.
:sad2: And they actually said it would happen again. Wow.

I was so glad also! It would've been grumpy times calling and waiting for luggage at 10:30 pm lol.

I agree. I'm all for refurbing the rooms and making them modern but I'd like them to still has some Disney aspects to them! This room in particular was really lacking in theming for me.

I like the doors much better too!

I know, right?! I don't know how he does it!

I wish I knew!

:rotfl: :rotfl: I guess it is one of those the grass is always greener kinda situations.

Hooray for arriving within the grace period of your FP window! And even better that you missed the storm during your ride! (Even though you missed out on the VIP Bus Pass, at least you managed to get the @pkondz VIP Weather card! :thumbsup2 )

Yess thankfully that timing worked out perfectly! At least we could get 50% of the VIP package lol

Joining in!

:welcome:

OMG. I love that flight attendant. I think she and I would be friends too.
And those people on the escalator? Wow. I would have pushed right past them pretending I didn't even see them.

Yess she was great.

Ugh I know it was such a bizarre morning.

ay for CBR! It's our favorite resort, but I totally agree with you about the theming. (sp?) It seems like Disney is starting to stray away from the theming in rooms. I don't like it. Give me all the theming. That's why I'm at Disney.

Agreed. I like the refurbs of the rooms but there was literally no Disney to this room at all!

I have no opinion on the bussing there. We always drive, so we have our car.

Our experience definitely would've been improved with a car. On a trip where we drive, I would consider CBR again!

Looking forward to hearing about the rest of your trip! I'm so glad your room was ready so early and you got to get to Epcot!

Thank you!! I was glad too!

All caught up. :)

Yay! Thanks for reading!

So... you're saying you never sleep.

:faint: Do you do 4/year???

3-4 :rotfl:The record is 5 in 2017!

OMG. Where is that from????

Garden Grill breakfast! 2/2 members of this trip recommend.

As a father, I wholeheartedly approve of this tactic.

He's a pro at it. Is it something that takes practice or is it just like a gene that kicks in once you enter fatherhood?

I was too... but now I wouldn't go back to paper. I much prefer the phone.

I have an unreasonable fear my phone will die as soon as the TSA agent asks for my boarding pass. Even though I use my phone for just about everything 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️

Wow.
People.... :sad2:

I'll never understand.

 I wouldn't be surprised if you'd then said that the plane returned to land and he was escorted off the plane.
I mean... if you're a first time flyer, you listen to the spiel and no to stay seated. If it's not your first flight... you know to stay seated.

I honestly was surprised that didn't happen also. Seriously, at what point do you think to yourself "This plane is diagonal with the ground. Maybe they put me in a seat with a seat belt for a reason?"

What, was there a full moon or something????

I hope so- at least there would be an explanation!

No one could survive getting that drunk.
Besides... your bladder is too tiny.

Both of these are true.

For a second there I thought you were going to say "because it felt a little weird swimming in our underwear/nude".
would've been a very short trip.

:rotfl::rotfl:That sure would've scared all the people out of the pool !

:lmao:
I had no idea Minnie swung that way.

:rotfl::rotfl:me neither. #themoreyouknow

:sad2: And they actually said it would happen again. Wow.

Yup. And it did through the whole trip. I'm sure Disney IT has blocked my number by now.
