my daughter has used them a few times. sometimes they are ok ie bright light outdoors, snapshot type things they are ok, sometimes not ie forget anything on a ride, but a simple point and shoot on auto isn't much harder to use and probably you'd be lots happier with the results, imo cheaper in the long run as well when you add in developing...
something like this one

I have not personally used them at DW, but this past January, we went to DW with my brother in-law & his family, and his wife decided to bring 12 disposables with( she had about 3 brands--fuji, kodak and polaroid), and I had my first digital on it's first vacation-I had only taken a few shots at home before our trip--well, when we got together to compare pictures and movies, she told me how upset she was with her pics--she ended up throwing about 70% of them. Most were so dark and lacking color--she really regretted it after seeing our digital pictures--she swore next trip she will bring her digital--the disposables were a waste in her opinion.:confused3

Digital cameras don't have to be complicated. I find that Kodak makes some of the easiest to use cameras (I just gave my 9 yr old brother one).

You wll end up saving money, because you won't be wasting film on be shots. With digital, you can see the picture right away and decide whether or not you like it. If you don't, delete and snap again. I find that I hardly print pictures out now, but instead look at them via computer (although, if you do decide to have pictures developed, you can often find great deals).

Depending on what camera you get, you will have several different types of memory cards Two of my camers use SD and I have found 2G cards for about $25 without a rebate.

While I've never used any at WDW, I used disposables (Kodak) extensively during my 5 day whitewater rafting trip in 2005. Since the days were sunny and dry I got great shots. My friend also got great shots on the raft while we ran the rapids using disposables.

What worked especially well for me was to develop the film on cds and then post-process using photo editing software such as Photoshop Elements. I was able to salvage a number of not so great shots and crop etc. since I had the photos on cds to work with.

I even managed to get a decent interior mine shot from a very dark photo using this technique.

Almost anyone can use simple editing software such as GIMP or Paint to do a lot of clean-up on their photos without buying editing software.

It might be worthwhile if you're flying to invest in a bag for your cameras that will protect the film when it's XRayed. You can buy them in a camera store but also in WalMart (I believe) in the luggage section. A coworker just came back from a big family cruise using only disposable cameras and none of the pictures came out.

In the camera world, the phrase "You get what you pay for" most readily applies. If you want "memory pictures" (you know, the kind that jogs your memory for that great time you had) then anything will do. If you want good quality images that you'd be happy to show to friends, then you'll spend a bit more. If you want to hang that one photo on the wall, empty your wallet cause it's gonna cost ya.
