We arrived to MCO late Friday evening and headed to the garage, as we've done the last several trips, as recently as OCTOBER and could not locate the MCO garage Thrifty/Dollar booth. After wandering around like we were lost, finally came to another booth and asked and it seems they have moved them to INSIDE the terminal only again. UGH!

Of course walked inside to their usual ONE person working the counter and taking forever, maybe 2 or 3 people in line but I just REFUSED. No advantage to skip the line inside there.

Quickly pulled up my Alamo app and made a reservation, but sadly since it was last minute I couldn't do the online checkin and skip the counter and go directly to my car so I still had to do wait in the terminal to get my rental. I'm now cancelling my upcoming Thrifty rentals and I'll go back to Alamo. Slightly more expensive but the ability to do the skip the counter option with them and go directly to my vehicle is just worth it to me.

Just a warning for those heading there soon!

Alamo is not the only agency that has skip the line. Check out Avis and Hertz as well.

Yes thanks for the information. I do know others have similar offerings. I just mostly have used those 3 in the past, but maybe once or twice used Hertz when their prices were reasonable.

....dead to me too! I got a great deal [so I thought at the time] on a mid-size vehicle at MCO through 3rd-party [like Priceline], which was PAID IN FULL at that time (using my Visa card). When I arrived home, I noticed an additional fee....I say that lightly because they charged me ALMOST DOUBLE of what I had been quoted. Needless to say, after countless phone calls and arguments with both Expedia and Thrifty [as well as an inquiry through Visa] I just gave up. They want my $135.00 dollars they can KEEP it, but not only will I never use them again, I share with everyone I know, this story and advise them not to do so either. I don't mind paying a little extra, when I know the bottom line IS the bottom line.
