Three Things...Gratitude Thread

Being able to pause live TV, streaming shows and movies.
Good one!

I love being able to set up a photo slide show on my TV and see it all in shuffle play...
I should learn how to do that!

The Backyardigans
Oh, I loved that one when DS was little!!

My three:
TV theme songs - one of my favorite playlists is theme songs of shows from the 70s and 80s.

"TV" on my iPad because I can carry it around the house while I'm doing chores.

Visiting my Dad's work as a kid - He owned a bar when I was little, and he would take me with him to watch Saturday morning cartoons on the big projection TV while he cleaned.

I didn't even know there was a:

...but it inspires an idea nonetheless:

Today's topic (Tue, 5/12) - 3 things you're grateful for with numbers on them

Good Tuesday Morning

I’m grateful for…..

#1 - MY APPLE WATCH - There’s no word to describe how much I love this watch. I’m currently on the second one.

#2 - MY DISNEY EXPERIENCE APP - It will be showing us all our ride times real soon.

#3 - WEATHER CHANNEL APP - Shows me what to expect with the daily temperatures throughout the day.

1. My checking and savings account - when the balance is increasing!
2. My cellphone - so I can call people I love.
3. The Disney App - when it has a countdown to my arrival.
4. Calculator - so I can do the complicated calculations with my students without wasting so much paper.

Garmin Data- I'm not big on smart watches but since getting back into races, I invested in a new sports watch. It gives me lots of numbers after I do any kind of physical activity which is helpful for growth...and even, in some cases, when I haven't set it to do so. It cracks me up when it knows that I was on an elliptical. Some of my favorite numbers are the ones that reflect how hard I've been working... like how it's showing me aging backwards.

Phone- Like most of us, my phone is full of numbers. All the better for texting and calling everyone in my life. It's also especially useful when I have forms to fill out for the girls and need access to stored numbers like phone for doctors, insurance plan numbers, etc.

Trip Countdowns- It's been a while since I've had a legit vacation trip countdown, but it was always so much fun doing daily countdown posts if it was something for Disney, checking the numbers off on my calendar in general, and having one of those rapidly cycling countdown clocks running in the background on my phone.

Numbers
I enjoy doing the math lessons on Duolingo, even though they are pretty easy.
I actually like adding and subtracting without a calculator when I use my checkbook and when I reconcile it with my online account.
WDW trip planning numbers: countdown, ADR research, working out times for my itineraries, and even checking wait times.

Happy Hump Day Friends

I’m grateful for……

#1 - 15 CHEEZ ITS - I count out exactly 15 to eat with my sandwich or wrap every day for lunch.

#2 - PRETZELS - I love pretzels and I’ll be taking a bag of them to snack on when we’re flying. Not only do I enjoy eating them, but they are also mess free and don’t leave any residue on your fingers, which makes them perfect for traveling.

#3 - CEREAL - I love my cereal! I look forward to my bowl of cereal on Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings

Crunchy ...

I'll have to agree with slo on this, Cheez its are the best! I am not so disciplined to be able to eat only 15, so we hardly ever get them except when we have a road trip, or else at Thanksgiving when they go on the broccoli casserole.

Chips & salsa (or chips & guac or chips & queso)! I could go through so many chips.

Crackers - especially wheat thins, nut thins, and townhouse.

Mini cucumbers - My standard lunch these days is a cottage cheese based salad. I take a container of the high protein variety and add a number of goodies to jazz it up. My current favorite are mini cucumbers. I usually slice up two. They are super crunchy! It's nice to have something so low in calories that can satisfy the crunch factor.

Roasted Sunflower Seeds - They are my second favorite crunchy element in my cottage cheese salad. They are no low in calories, but they do have a number of health benefits and really add some serious crunch. So, I usually pour in a half portion.

Shredded carrots - The other big veggie crunch component to this salad. In fact, if they lose that crunch, I know they are no longer good. That rarely happens as I usually go through a bag of shredded carrots in 4 days. Either way, another low calorie healthy add to give some serious crunch.

Corn Chex - I eat them daily no milk
Tortilla chips I’m like addicted to these things OMG love them
Don’t even get me started on Cheez-Its I will eat the whole box
Mixed Nuts especially cashews ❤️❤️ I will buy trail mix especially if it has coffee beans in it or I’ll buy different kinds and then mix them all together and just snack on that all day long that will be my meal for the day I’ll be eating Trail Mix all day

Durum wheat 🌾 🌾 🌾 🌾 sure looks crunchy to me...my Wednesday route driving thru Colorado River flood plain... but you can't have any...it all goes to Italy and kosher culture because it fits the profile of the wheat when the Jordan River was about to be crossed
