Three questions...

First, I have booked a trip for January 13-17th but I have a limited number of points so it had to be a standard view for at least the weekend. They didn't have the Boardwalk available in a standard studio for the whole time (only the weekend) so they have put me at the Beach Club for Thursday and Sunday. They have waitlisted me for the those days at BWV. What are my chances of getting the days waitlisted so I won't be moving back and forth? Do they transport you luggage for you or are you dealing with that yourself?

Last question...what are the crowds like around the long weekend of MLK's birthday?

I won't predict the waitlist odds. However, I can assure you that Disney will move your luggage between Disney resorts (and villas). Just call the bell desk first thing in the morning and alert them to your needs. As for the crowds during a long weekend, well, they're always greater during a long weekend but they shouldn't be overwhelming.

Slim for standard view but not impossible. What are you going to do if you don't get it by say the 31 day cancellation window.

Just curious. If points are a concern, did you try to get OKW or SSR where points are lower? You might could get a studio at OKW the whole time, and that would be the same as standard view at BWV???...or, is there some reason you need/want to be near Epcot?

I wanted to be at BWV because of the number of things close by: Epcot, the Boardwalk shops and restaurants, the boat to MGM and access to everthing else by monorail if I walk through Epcot.

Don't get me wrong...I love OKW, it is my home resort. However, this time I won't have a car and transportation and convenience is a big issue. It seems to be a long bus ride to where ever I need to go when I'm at OKW.

As far as what happens to the points (the difference is a total of 6 I think) if the waitlisted room comes through with less than 30 days left, they will go into a holding account. It might mean they won't be used. It would be worth it for the convenience.
