Three Princesses and a June Trip to Disney World with pics, Final Update Aug 11th

We love the water parks we went 3 times last trip although BB was our favourite but my DD's are older! I totally agree about the raft ride it's so short and really not that good now the one at BB is excellent really long and no carrying your raft :thumbsup2 I hope you remembered to lift your bottom on Crush and Gusher as I've heard it can hurt :rotfl2: And I totally agree the snorkelling was freezing and such a long wait too! BTW were the EMH's really good?

I love hearing about the water park. The pics are great, too. It looks like there is some fun stuff for little ones. I thought it was mainly for bigger kids. I'll have to add it to my to-do list if we ever go in the warmer months.

We didn't make it to the water parks when we went and now I'm jealous! It looked so fun! and great pics! And my goodnes...someday I would like to be so rich that I could throw away a $150 bathing suit...or as my niece calls it...a baby soup! :lmao:
Well if you stay a week Jennifer you can fit it in cause it does take away a whole day even if you only stay half a day...you are too tired to do a park at night...or at least we were with little ones. Can you believe it about the suit??

Loved the water park installment Cathy!! DH wants to go to Blizzard beach next time but I am not a water park/pool fan so I told him he'll have to wait until we have kids in tow :rotfl:

5 years until your next trip?? Tell me you did not just say that! :scared1:
Tara I would consider it if you have the time...I just bet you would like a slide or two and a drink by the pool...maybe a little lazy river cruise on a tube?? While DH hits all the big time slides. I would never go down that huge steep slide in the middle
Yes, DH isnt going back for a least 5 years....Not me though...I am going back in Winter or Spring 2009! I still wish I could join you in Sept but alas its not to be :sad2:

What a great installment, Cathy!! Now I'm really rethinking my "No water parks" itinerary. Maybe I could squeeze an early morning somewhere.:rolleyes1 OH man, my DH is gonna kill me if I change our itinerary again! :lmao:
I tell you what Trace...if you have the time to go it would be fun otherwise maybe you should try to fit it in another trip...why??? You will be tired if you actually do a lot of the attractions....the park is big and there are steps and hills etc. Just thinking :rolleyes1

What a great day at Typhoon Lagoon you had! I think my kids are looking forward to that more than the parks (just kidding...I think)! Thanks for sharing all the pictures, too.

Denise
Denise, I had more fun than I thought I would and I am sure your kids will love it!

Hi Jo!! Well, here at TL I thought they were helpful....not so much at MK cause it was so crowded anyways! Oh yeahhhh bum was up and that ride was the bestest...DH went on it three times! :woohoo:

Hi Buf.....if you can fit it in it is so much fun! :yay:

I loved your Typhoon Lagoon update. I have swam with the sharks on two different visits and that water is cold. :scared1: They used to provided you with wet suit life vests, but then when I went last year they did not have them anymore. Your girls are so cute in the water. We decided not to do the parks on our upcoming trip with a DD7, DS2 and me being 5 months pregnant at the time of our trip. However, when all three kids are big enough we will go again!

:thumbsup2 ..i just want to say, you do have 3 lil'princesses. princess:

...& reading your trip report was alot fun...:yay:

..june , its hot? :confused3 , who da thought?

..and that por lady...wasn't permitted to blocked the walk way,
what if they needed an emergency exit..oh, her seeing was
a dired emergency...how come~ you didn't clap? [shame]

:lmao: ,

ain't the truth..when you need a bus, & i know what you mean-
seeing the bus you need takin off...:rolleyes1

* i think my favorite pic., was them annihilating the :mickeybar .

we have a lil princess: , she came out the blue...she has 2 brothers
that could easily pass for the blue monster in monster inc., ...
we ate there 2004, and they had a racoon character...* i think
chip & dale's nephew....jordan had the best time, holding onto his tail,
as he was wiggling it all over the place...liberty tree is one of our
favorites.

looks like you all had fun there at the water park. Enjoyed the pictures. :goodvibes
Yes....Castaway mom this water park has a great river named after you :rotfl2: Thanks for reading! ;)

Congratulations!!!! When is your trip? 5 months along is a good time to travel if you are going to! :cutie: I dont think they had life vests unless you were really little....maybe those yellow ones they give out? I think they keep the water cold so only the strongest and bravest go in!! :rotfl:

Hi Lil Grumpy...thanks for reading :cheer2: Don't get me wrong I was expecting hot and humid...but the intensity of the sun was what surprised me....living in NJ is hot and humid but the sun is weak here in comparison! ;) Awww thats so cute your litttle DD has big brothers...! Yes we really enjoyed LTT and will always go back! Glad you liked the pics! Thanks for writing! :thumbsup2

I have no idea where I have been, but am glad I found you! Great TR..
Beana you crack me up...I think I saw you on my pre-trippie! Or on other peoples..  Thanks for finding your way here and reading! :thumbsup2

So are you all ready for another installment or should I drag it out as suggested??? :confused3 :rotfl2: ;)

I was there, Cath, thanks for all the snacks to tide us over until your amazing TR came! Loving it!!!

Just found your trip report...love it! I also liked the MK video...made me feel like I was there! :goodvibes I wish I had a video camera (other than our huge clunky one!) to take with us in December! Can't wait to read more, and please keep posting pictures, they're my favorite part! :thumbsup2

I'm late, I know. I missed your send off and return, but I am all caught up. What a bummer of a start of the trip. I am so glad Belle got over her illness fairly fast. POR is a gorgeous resort. My only complaint was the many bus stops, but other than that... gorgeous!

The water park day looked like a great time for all! I bet it was the BEST place to be on a hot hot day.

Even if I had the money to throw away a $150 bathing suit, I can't say I would... wow, what a waist.

So are you all ready for another installment or should I drag it out as suggested??? :confused3 :rotfl2: ;)

What? WHAT? Bring it on baby! I'll be sitting here with my Diet Sunkist Orange Soda...waiting. :yay:

Day Three – The Evening at Wilderness Lodge

Have you ever seen those books where they hide the item in the larger picture and you are supposed to find it? Well in the pic below is a hidden animal I spotted on the way back to our room. Can you see him??? :magnify:

I'll give you the answer at the end of this installment! But first you have to read it! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

So I left off in the last installment asleep after our day at Typhoon Lagoon! I hated to do it but we had to get up at 4 pm to get to our ADR at Wilderness Lodge. DH got up earlier and went to the lobby to pick up yet another package. This time it was the special box for the three princesses princess: and it was big too! I told them they could open it before bed. They were excited about that and I was sooooo excited to finally be seeing Wilderness Lodge up close and personal! I thought a nice way to get there was to take the bus to MK and then the boat to the Lodge. We quickly got ready and slipped the still sleepy  girls in the stroller. We headed out to the bus about 4:30 pm all still a little sleepy….no rest for the weary! We waited briefly for the bus and hopped on. It was getting old hat but this time Belle was squirmy the whole ride and I tried to distract her with drawing in my note pad. Elizabeth looked down and found Felicia on the floor of the bus! Yikes! She must have tried to take off but was safely rescued and secured back on my lanyard. I wonder if this is what happened to Freddy (Felicia’s predecessor) ??

We arrive and ask for directions to the boat :boat: for Wilderness Lodge. Then we wait! People started arriving and we got in line and then it happened. Belle lost it….cried for about 10 min straight. Nothing would console her. I announced that this was her first  tantrum (or real cry) in 4 days. Sometimes I think kids just need to cry…especially with all of this extra stimulation and crazy schedule. I hope she didn’t annoy anyone too much and several people laughed upon my announcement and looked on sympathetically. In any case, the tantrum was over as fast as it began and the boat finally arrived. We hopped aboard around 5:23 pm and had a lovely trip across the lagoon. I noticed a crane by the Contemporary and took a pic. Hmmmmm, I wonder what that’s all about? :confused3 Do you know??? (One thing I should mention is that I didn’t have to fold the stroller up to board the boat…I just rolled it on and Belle stayed in while the rest of our group sat on the benches.)

Here is the boat dock:

Even Felicia the croc liked it:

Can you see the crane to the left of the Contemporary?? Are they future DVC???
IMGP3159.jpg

We arrived at the dock at WL at 5:40 pm and our ADR’s were for 6pm so we had time to spare! We arrived by the pool area and took some pics.

Then we made our way inside and up to the Main Lobby. Wow it is impressive! We parked the stroller and found where Whispering Canyon Café was off to the side. It overlooked the lobby area and was open to it. That I didn’t expect especially since it was so loud. By the check in desk is this huge lincoln log table. What a blast!! All three girls immediately started building and having fun!

Cathy - Are you serious that you don't know what the crane is at the Contemporary. Just in case you are, they ripped down the north wing and are rebuilding it. A very very big rumor is that they will build DVC but who knows?

Day Three - Evening - Wilderness Lodge Continued

I headed to the check-in desk to talk to the CM. I was jotting down our times in my trustly note pad as I waited in line. Well, the CM, Matt, started imitating me and writing his trip report notes on a piece of paper. Funny stuff! I saved what he wrote for my scrapbook. He gave me my blinkylight thing (what is that called?) and explained how it worked. I literally walked back to the lincoln log table, took a few pics of the girls and the thing started going off. I walked up to the desk and started “complaining” to Matt about the long wait here at WCC! He gave it right back to me…hahahaha…..apologizing for the delay etc. By this time, Grumpy who had slipped out to the bathroom was back and I started following the hostess with what I thought were the three princesses behind me. Apparently not….Belle took off down the steps to the lobby and DH found her and scooped her up. Whoopppss!

So at 5:50 pm we were seated and the kids were being called up to do the horse ride around the restaurant. Unfortunately, there were no more stick horses left and DD3 was leary of the whole situation. We sat down again and our waitress came for our order. Now it was DD3’s turn to be fussy. Our waitress threw down stuff on the table and while I thought it was funny, DD3 did not. Not enough sleep I think. She wanted to sit on my lap and wouldn’t really eat. Miss Fussiness and other two princesses ordered…smack and cheese, grapes, applesauce, carrots and for dessert, worms in dirt. They had lemonade and soda…all the treats they don’t get at home! We both ordered the most delicious meat loaf and mashed potatoes ever made here on earth. :thumbsup2 OK maybe I am exaggerating…but it was good! I think we also had rolls and butter, ice tea and salad. Oh yeah…I forgot about the appetizer…we had nachos and valley greens. Great! Dessert was another eat-one-bite kinda thing…it was Apple Carmel Pie and Banana Dustbowl. Sorry I don’t remember if it was yummy or not. Periodically throughout dinner were the usual calls for ketchup and a couple of embarrassing moments at tables around the restaurant. We however must have blended in and didn’t receive any attention. The girls colored and hung up a picture and we walked out stuffed around 7:15 pm.

We spent some time wondering around and took pics. Actually to tell you the truth, the place was smaller than I expected. I also didn’t think it was any nicer than POR amenity wise. In fact I think POR had more things to do than the Lodge. I was strangely dissappointed or maybe I was just tired…not sure. So we walked back down to the boat dock and waited…the sun was setting and the lagoon was just beautiful. After a short wait we boarded the boat and I sat next to a really nice lady. We talked about our vacations. They were staying 10 days in the campground, sans hubby who doesn’t like crowds or heat, and were yearly WDW vacationers. I love how friendly everyone is.

We waited for the Geyser to blow...it didnt until we were half way across the lagoon on the boat :rotfl:

I slowly and ever so regretfully passed by the gates to the MK. We never did get to go to Tomorrowland but the girls were sooooo tired at this point that we really couldn’t justify dragging them in. Darn. So we hopped on the bus after only a few minute wait and went back “home” to POR. Back at our room I got the girls ready for bed and then it was time to open the mysterious big box! I had a little pair of scissors and cut the tape and in no time the three princesses were taking out their BBB stuff…dresses, shoes, wands, crowns, jewelry, make-up and hair! They were all smiles as I explained to them that we would dress up and wear them to our princess dinner on Saturday at Epcot. I am so proud for keeping it a surprise and they were all tickled pink to be able to dress up! We snapped some pics and tucked everyone including Grumpy in bed.

I, however, had other plans. Since it was 9:30 pm and everyone was asleep, I took off all by myself for the Fulton’s General Store. I bought a few souvenirs/gifts and browsed for about ½ hour. It was close to 10 pm and the place was packed! Next, I soaked in the nice hot tub by the pool for about 20 minutes. :cloud9: I chatted again with a nice lady who was doing the same thing as I was…escaping to the hot tub! I showered and dried off and by 10:30 pm, was walking across the bridge back to our room. A horse-drawn carriage came by…but I didn’t have my camera…darn. The young couple looked like they were having a nice romantic ride. (Little known fact…I used to work at a horse carriage company near where I live!) I quietly let myself back into the room. Everyone was sound asleep! Awwwww…. my babes are so cute (and so is everyone’s) when they are peacefully asleep.

IMGP3195.jpg

IMGP3193.jpg

I was so thankful everyone was healthy and having a nice time! So I changed and crawled into bed under the nice ceiling fan. Well first I had to wrestle Grumpy for my pillow back…than I fell sound asleep!

**************************************************

Now before you go...did you ever find the hidden animal???? :3dglasses

Well on the leaf (small green and brown leaves )in the center of the pic is a little lizard. Can you see him now??
