So we got a later start today, at least getting out of the room and to a park. DW actually woke up around 7:15 and decided to go down to BW Bakery to get us Breakfast. We ate in the room and took our time getting ready for the day.
At around 11:15 we finally got out the door and made our way into EPCOT and decided to get some lunch. On our way from the International Gateway into the park we had a rare character meet, Pocahantas!
We wandered over the bridge into France and met these two.
We were trying to decide where to eat when I noticed that the brand new Babyjogger stroller was acting funny. It started out by not turning to the right and then not at all. At first I thought Bug was stepping on the little latch to stop the front wheel from turning but I soon discovered that the latch was moving on its own! (Brand new stroller, broken on the second day. GRRRRR.)
We fought the stroller down to China and we found Mulan down there.
I was extremely frustrated with the stroller at this point so we decided to stop in Lotus Blossom Cafe and eat there while I thought about the stroller issue. DW had the Orange Chicken, I had Shrimp Fried Rice, Bug had Sweet and Sour chicken, for desert I got one of the Strawberry bean Ice cream and one Carmel Ginger ice cream... We used to love Lotus Blossom but either our palates have matured or the food has gone down hill here. All the food was OK but that's about all I can say about it. We didn't even finish the Ice Cream.
After I finished eating and was waiting on the girls I use the lid of my Coke to create a washer to temporarily fix the steering problem. (This repair actually held up until about 8:30 tonight when it failed just as we were heading back to the hotel)
At this point we didn't have much of a plan so we just did what Bug wanted to do... ride the big ball!!! After Spaceship Earth we hit Mousegear, Innoventions, the butterfly garden and then headed over to Nemo and Living Seas (yes I still call it Living Seas. LOL) Now it seems like everytime we go here we have a meltdown, and it happened again today. We decided it was time for a nap and plunked the Bug into the stroller and she was out in about 5 minutes.
DW and I wandered through Innoventions East and West, spent quite a bit of time in Mousegear this time, went into Club Cool and watched the Beverly faces for a while, watched the big fountain, we were heading over towards the Imagination Institute when Bug woke up and wanted to go on a ride so we took the Imagingation Institute tour. Then let Bug play in the jumping fountains for a while, we have video of that but that will have to wait until later to be uploaded. We decided to be bad parents and take Bug over to Club Cool and let her taste some pop, she didn't like the Japanese watermellon stuff, or the lemon stuff from China, she did like the "Mezo Mix" from Mexico (kind of an Orange Coke) then the bad parents had her try Beverly...
that will teach her to trust her parents when their horns are showing! She made me refill her cup with Mezo Mix and wouldn't try anything else after that.
After a little more wandering it was time to head into the Land and ride Living with the Land before dinner at Garden Grill. Mmmm... Garden Grill, I've seen this place but I never realized the whole resturaunt Rotates! You get to look out on scenes from the Living with the Land ride while you eat, the Rainforest (Loud!), the desert and the American Prarie, you also get a nice wall with mural and the last scene is the front of the restaraunt, with all the kids trying to get the attention of the characters in the restaraunt, who wave as they go by and do their best to politely ignore them. (Actually kind of amusing to watch, unless the parents are trying to get the characters to come over too, that's just annoying!)
Anyway character pictures...
and food pictures!
Yeah... um we forgot to take any until after we ate. In consolation it was amazing food, we had Steak and spiced smashed potatoes, turkey, cranberry sauce and stuffing, and Mahi mahi with a lemon salt crust. DW and I are not fish eaters, shell fish we do but not the finny kind but we decided to try the mahi mahi and it was great, none of the "fisy" taste that turns me off with most fish, I would be glad to eat it again!
Then we got to desert, a fruit cobbler with a homemade whipping cream... so good DW and I were humming to ourselves as we ate it!
and Bug got some worms in dirt that Pluto dug up for her
