My wife and I did our first Disney cruise Sept 11-14. We have done 4 RCCL and 1 NCL prior to this. I have read the threads about the cost of the cruise compared to other cruise lines, and I can't argue that it was more expensive for similar cruises. However, the cruise experience itself was much better than our other experiences have been. The shows were superior, the food was better, and the service was typical Disney. Our plan was to check out the cruise for the kids and grandkids down the road a few years. I guess cost will always be a factor. Now that I'm retired, I have to be more careful in how our vacation dollars are spent, but I would certainly love to see the grandkids be able to do this once they are old enough to appreciate it.

Some of the highlights---
As I said, the food, service and entertainment.
The adults only areas really were adults only. Checking in and being surrounded by families with small children, I was afraid that wouldn't be the case.
Castaway Cay is beautiful. The adults only beach was uncrowded. Plenty of umbrellas and beach chairs for all.
Nassau was Nassau. Because of the length of the cruise, our plan was to get off the ship, walk around a bit, and then go back to do more exploration of the ship. That's what we did. Walked around, sat around, read and relaxed.
Disney Dream is amazing.
