:thumbsup2
I am up here in Marysville (about 35 miles north of Seattle)

Did you all know that further North at the Burlington Outlet Mall they are selling is the traveling Disney Outlet store.Tey will be their until May 15th. I have been up there twice I cannot believe what they have there all brand new DL park items. I bought an awesome DL windbreaker jacket that sells at the parks for $68.00 it was only $24.00, sweatshirts for $14.00. Check it out if you can.:thumbsup2

Tell me more, tell me more - do they have any pins???? My b-day is tomorrow and I was granted a wish.... I'm going up to the outlet with my best friend and fellow Disneyaholic on Sunday!!! Can't wait, can't wait....

We returned from a 5 day DL trip on the 15th and I've been dreaming about going back, reading the boards, looking at expedia... can't seem to focus on anything else!!

Oh - now to follow the thread.... living in Lacey, WA - born in Seattle... military wife - lived in Beaverton for 3 yrs too! Loved it!!

The grounds around the home are unbelievably beautiful in the summer. I bet your wedding was gorgeous!!

It was lovely, but that weekend in '03 was sickeningly hot. Everyone while we were booking said "oh that's going to be a beautiful time, 80 degrees, best time to have an outdoor wedding". And it was 100 that day. With me in a poofy silk satin dress. AUGH. I didn't wear nylons, not even the snazzy stockings (with real garter belt) I'd bought for the occasion.

Though I had the gown fitted to my shape wearing a tight corset, by the evening I had sweated off so much weight, it was loose even without the corset.

But it was gorgeous!

Cork in the wine bottle! Yuck!

I'm on the University Place/Tacoma border, to the person that wondered. :)

Born in Idaho and lived my whole life in Eastern Washington. My DH, 2 DD, DS and I all live in Moses Lake and LOVE IT!!!
We are currently in the planning process for our next Disneyland trip, hopefully next year!!!!:yay:

Hello Pacific Northwesterners!

Another Dis'er from Longview here! I am a Lumberjill through and through but DH and sons are Monarchs.

Since we can't afford to live in SoCal, I wish we lived in the Tri-Cities area as we love the weather over there.

Jumping on board again as we're planning our next Disney trip the 2nd week of Sept.!!! Anyone else going in Sept?

I live in Normandy Park, which is inbetween Des. Moines and Burien along the waterfront. Also very close to SeaTac Airport! Born and raised here.

I'm a SAHM to 2 daughters, ages 8 and 5. This will be our 5th trip to Disney since our youngest was born. We LOVE it there! We've always stayed at the Disneyland Hotel but this year we're going to try out the Grand CA. Also, we're going to adventure out and do other CA. things like Universal, the beach, etc.

Aside from being a SAHM I'm a doula :cloud9:

Ah, Forest Grove...how I do adore our stays at Grand Lodge...twas our wedding night hotel, we love it so much, after we married at Cornelius Pass Roadhouse in Hillsboro. Had our almost 3 month old along on our 1st anniversary trip to Portland (to pick up wedding album)...:rolleyes1

We have a "little souvenir" from the Grand Lodge after staying there for our 11th anniversary!:rolleyes1 He is 6 yrs old now.

We're from SW Portland/Beaverton (GO Sunset Apollos!:cheer2: ), I went to UofW (Seattle), then we lived in Salem, Tualatin, Portland and now are in Ellensburg. Guess we count as Pacific Northwesterners!
Too bad we're so far from WDW and the Disney Magic! (not that it stops us from going... it's just farther to go!)
We'll be at DL over Memorial Day!

Hi, all! We're in Eugene-DH grew up here, and recently moved back after we got married-he had been living in Florence. I grew up in Montana but have lived here since I went to college here. My mom grew up in Keizer, and folks now live south of Newport. And then I work in Corvallis and DH in Cottage Grove. We put a lot of miles on our cars :( I told DH no way we'd drive to DL.

:thumbsup2

Wow! I can't believe there are so many "neighbors" up here!! :goodvibes I'm relatively new to DIS, I joined after deciding to do some "research" on our summer trip to DL (which will be my first since HS graduation - some, er, um 15+ yrs ago) DH hasn't been since Jr High, so that's almost 20 yrs ago! Double :scared1:

Yeah, it get's a little hotter in what we call the "bowl of Hillsboro". Last year it was 108 for three days straight. Blah!!! LOL about the dress! I got married in August and it was hot, hot, hot that day, too! Before the ceremony I had little fans under my dress to cool me off!!! :)

I agree on the service problems. The last time I was there, the waitress got cork in the wine bottle, then didn't even offer to uncork a new one. She just poured the wine anyway! I can't believe we actually had to say something. At what they charge there, they should have better service! The grounds around the home are unbelievably beautiful in the summer. I bet your wedding was gorgeous!!

Hi, fellow Eugeneans!

Also, had to laugh about the above quote. I love the McMenamin's properties, and have stayed at Edgefield and the Kennedy School several times. Not so in love with their food (except the Black Rabbit at Edgefield). And man, their service is almost consistently bad. A friend of mine here in Eugene jokes that McMenamins employs one band of roving waiters, that go from restaurant to restaurant in a pack. You'll sit at one of their restaurants FOREVER with horrible service, and then all the sudden someone will ask you eight times if you need more water.

I live in Arlington, WA, the town next to where Kingsdaughter and DisneyPhreak are from. Actually, Kingsdaughter and I are friends....our kids used to go to school together! We became disney "fanatics" totally on our own and discovered this common interest one day when we bumped into each other at a store....LOL It's just great!:yay: Hey Kingsdaughter, how long did it take you to go to the Disney Outlet store when we talked about it that day we saw each other. You were so excited to hear about it.....Isn't it just great?! I figured you would probably go the very next day....LOL. I had to stop going as I was spending all my money saved for our trip to DL! Only 12 more days to go ....yipee!::cheer2: Oh, and thanks for referring me to this board! It's great!...and it's so nice to meet lots of other "Disney-ites" from this area!::goodvibes

Hi, I was just reading the thread and had to register. I am from West Linn, Oregon, a suburb of Portland. We (DH, DD (10) are heading to DL from
May 7-12th, we can't wait! We stocked up on supplies earlier in the year when the Character Warehouse had a local store opened in Jantzen Beach Center. It was sooo much fun to get such great deals!

Hello to all of the PNW neighbors - I just can't wait for sun!:)

Looks like me and Kingsdaughter are neighbors. I live in Marysville too.

Pretty funny...I live up on the hill right above Sunnyside (or maybe its still considered Sunnyside). So we are very close, small world.. I'll make sure I keep an eye out.
