I have seen many discussions on the DVC boards that cross over DVC/WDW. I've seen some go on to the point of being combative, and rude. I have seen threads moved, but closed. 'Time to Sell' gets shut down so quick, why? Smoking may not be a popular choice, but we still have the right to discuss it's effects on ownership. The policy may be a WDW resort policy, but what was being discussed was how and if it has effected DVC owners and someone who is considering selling because of the policy change. I believe policy changes that are made at DVC resorts should be able to be discussed even if the same policy goes into effect throughout WDW. The difference with a DVC change, we have ownership and a vested interest in policy changes whether for the better or worse of DVC resorts. If I remember correctly, when we received notification of this policy change, DVC was the last to implement this new non smoking policy, so once again DVC had a separate dateline then WDW resorts. Sorry, I just found this a little drastic.

DVC and WDW implemented the no-smoking policy at the same time. Once again, smoking/non-smoking is NOT a DVC specific policy, and has not been allowed on the DVC boards since the policy was implemented.
