I'm going to Disneyland!

There was some discussion last night about avoiding today's rain and going Thursday instead, but even the adults were geeked to go today. So we are driving out with our group of ten: myself, DH, DD8, DD4, and my DH's DM, DB, DSIL, their 5 year old and 8 month old, and DH's sister.

I prepped well (I hope!) for the kids to be in the rain all day. They've got their rain boots, rain jackets, umbrellas, lots of dry socks, and a change of clothes. I've got my rain jacket, but completely goofed on my own shoes. I brought some running shoes (porous) and my Doc's (cut outs on the top). I'll keep my running shoes in reserve, and I've applied duct tape to the inside of my Doc's. We will be stashing everything in lockers today since this is just a day trip.

We have 7:10 reservations for breakfast at Minnie and Friends. It's going to be tight getting there on time. We left Simi Valley at 5:25. We are making decent time, but now we are on the 5. No traffic yet (knocking on wood). If it's really close, I will have DH drop our car off at the drop off on Harbor to see if we can hold our reservation spot for everyone else.

It's been raining the entire drive so far. DH is now asking me to pull up a radar map, so TTFN!

Rain will keep some people away :-)

Hi Steph!

I have never done DLR in the rain - so I have no advice other than enjoy the World of Water Color! ;)

I have done it numerous times in the past but not torrents of rain. It slows me down and the rides have always been walk on's, but times may be changing with the crowds.

I hope you enjoy it. It's been POURING in SoCal non-stop. Yesterday was scary-to-drive-in-rain. It decided to take a break about 30 minutes ago (although the dog still refuses to go out to take care of business :rotfl:).

- Dreams (who planned her week around seeing last night full lunar eclipse that was completely impossible to see thanks to complete cloud cover)

Have a great time down in SoCal Stephanie. At least it is not raining right now back in Sacramento. Just a little cloudy and it could rain anytime.

Texting while driving? I'm sure you meant while a passenger, right?;)

So how was it? I have gone to DLR many times, when I was younger, in the rain but not so much when it's been as cold as it has been lately. And another storm is due in tomorrow. Supposed to have even more rain!:scared1: We are going on Thursday to get our AP again and see the decorations and parade. Hope the weather forecast is right and the rain will be gone by then.
