We just ate at both places 2 weeks ago
Luau is Spirit of Aloha.
They do pictures first like Chef Mickeys - Hawaiian style.
They give you lei's to wear.
Appetizers include pineapple and a salad.
The food comes out on platters. Pork, chicken, rice.
They have a childrens menu available - chicken fingers,
mac & cheese, hot dog, hamburger.
Soda, milk, coffee, tea come with the meal.
They have specialty drinks in take home glasses for
adults and children. Children can get glowing ice cubes
also in their drinks.
Show is fun for adults and kids. Hawaiian dances, fire
dancer, story line of a young woman just back from the
main land finding her life back on the islands.
I would recommend the early show (5 pm) for
families with young children.
They also recognize birthdays and anniversaries of the
guest in the audience.
O'Hana's - mean's family. You will say ALOHA alot while
eating dinner. Again they have the typical childrens
menu. My DD had a fruiy flavored shaved ice dessert in
a plastic sand pail with a shovel. She has the pail & shovel
as a sovenier. My DS ate shrimp, shrimp, shrimp.
The food comes out on large skewers. You can have as much
as you would like. Shrimp, Turkey, and Steak - grilled with
wonderful bar-b-que seasonings. You can see the
chefs from your table. There was also a salad, rice, veggies,
and assorted dipping sauces.
The chlidren did a hula-hoop contest and coconut
races (small brooms pushing a coconut around on the
floor, under tables, etc.). My older DS wanted no part of it.
My DD, age 7, loved it. Again, my DS was too busy
peeling and eating shrimp.
They have wonderful coffee. My DH had 3 cups of it.
Try both places. They are wonderful
