Thoughts on the Aloha show?

We saw the original show years, years ago but are now thinking about it for an upcoming trip. It woudl be myself, parents, brother and my two littel girls (3 &6).
Think thsi wodul be fun or a waste of money?
My parents are a littel skepital about WDW now since our last two trips. (Disappointed with the state of the parks compared to when they had been previosly.) So I don't won't to book this and they be disappointed since it is not cheap.
They wanted to try soemthing different and I mentioned this and it interested my Mom.
Any opnions woudl eb appreciated. Thanks!

We enjoyed it (DD 10 and DS 9). SH and I both liked the food altho it won't bowl you over. DS got the children's meal which was in a little box, and had hot dogs, mac and cheese, and a PB&J. We had front row seats and thought the show was wonderful. It's a little hoaky at the beginning, but when they do the traditional dances and fire dancing, it is awesome. And the Poly is just so beautiful!

We saw the show last summer and really enjoyed it. We had a group of 10 from ages 7 through 70. All of us liked the food (except the dessert) and thought the show was great. We were surprised at how much we enjoyed it given all the negative comments about it on this board. We had good seats -- booked about a month in advance. We enjoyed it as much as the luaus we've been to in Hawaii and thought it was worth the money.

We went last August. The show itself was pretty good. We all enjoyed it. The food was mediocre tho. You do get all you want of wine/soda/beer. The pineapple bread was my favorite thing about the meal. And the fresh pineapple itself!! But the actual meal was iffy. I'm not sure we would spend the money to do it again.
