Thoughts on Sandcastle Club?

My husband and I are thinking about putting our girls (ages 5 and 3.5) in the sandcastle club for one night of our trip so we can do more of the adult rides. For those of you that have used it, how was it? What activities are there for the kids to do while they are there? Thanks!

We used the cub's den at wilderness lodge back in 2014 when our kids were younger (3, 9, 11) and they had an ok time.

They were there about 3 hours... long enough for us to have dinner at the California grill (CR). Before dinner, we did a monorail bar-hop which was kind of fun.

Kids didn't have an "amazing" time there, but were fine with it.

Sandcastle Club (and Lilo's Playhouse) are completely different than Cub's Den. They changed the format of Sandcastle Club and Lilo's so they have more structured activities, theme nights and character meet and greets. At Sandcastle Club, they typically have "pirate nights" and will have activities like cooking, science experiments, plus unstructured activities like movies and board games. They will also serve dinner (you will choose from a menu when you drop the children off) and snacks. My DS has been to both numerous times and really enjoys them.

Our grandson loves the Sandcastle Club. He has been there twice now, age 5 and 6. They have arts and crafts, costumes for dress up and Disney movies. Captain Hook has made a visit while he was there. They also serve them dinner. There is an open house around 4pm so that you can check out the facilities.

As a PP said, Sandcastle Club and Lilo's offer a complete evening for one price (I think it was $55 a child last year). I believe the hours were 4:30 pm until midnight. My daughters have done Lilo's twice and absolutely loved it. They have not done Sandcastle Club, but both facilities sound very similar.

My girls were 9 and 4 last fall when they were there and they had a lot of fun. They actually ask to go back.

Awesome! Thanks!
