Thoughts on our trip

My family returned a few days ago. These are my thoughts on our experience using MLL, SL and DAS. DAS was approved 28 days out. Staying on-site so at exactly 7:00 am, 7 days out I was in MDE purchasing MLL & SL. I wasn’t thrilled with the times for the MLL & SL but it seemed no matter how often I refreshed I couldn’t get times to align with our planned touring schedule. We wanted to do a few action rides and then some indoor attractions/ shows. I just couldn’t get the time to align. Then trying to add a DAS attraction didn’t always time out. I feel like I missed enjoying my grandkids excitement and joy because I had to be constantly on the phone. It was very nerve wracking trying to constantly refresh and check for new times. My next trip I am doing strictly DAS and Single lightning lane if I feel the need for any of those rides. And I will never go when it’s so ungodly hot and humid again.

This reminds me of the old FP days. People loved FP, but I felt like I was constantly on my phone refreshing for new rides or times. I was hoping the advance LL options would be nice. What times were you unable to get, morning?

I got mornings for everything except Tiana. And they were lined up one after another. I couldn’t get them spaced out more unless I wanted late in the day. Most much later. And I was refreshing several times a day every day.

i think what is considered being on the phone “a lot” is definitely a YMMV—situation. OP, I’m in no way diminishing your experience. When we were trying to book new MPLL or modifying, I chose to be specific about it and doing it while waiting in a queue. It was quick and I definitely only took a few minutes. Of course, we were there at a very low-crowd time of year and if we had our hearts set in something, we joined the standby-queue if the wait seemed tolerable. With the exception of just a few rides, even rides like FEA and Remy, for example, were out of LLMP, I was successful in snagging them. I figured I would’ve been in my phone some anyway and it didn’t seem as intrusive to check/modify/ and book new MPLL anymore than when I’d book DAS in years past.
