Going in November for our first trip! We are upgrading to DxDP for DH, myself, and DD 4 and DD6. We have FD, the upgrade will cost $500, which still puts us under our original budget before FD! The kids don't nap, and we think we'll like the break to sit. All thoughts/recommendations welcome!'

Day One:
Flight arrives at 4:45, figure we won't get checked into POFQ until 7ish. May hit resort CS for a meal/snacks.

Day Two: Magic Kingdom
9:05 – breakfast at CRT - character
5:30 – dinner at Cali Grill - signature

Day Three: Epcot
11:30 – lunch at Via Napoli
5:15 – dinner at Akershus – character

Day Four: Hollywood Studios
11:15 – lunch at Hollywood & Vine – character
5:15 – Spirit of Aloha - show

Day Five: Animal Kingdom need to plan bkfst/lunch
5:30 – dinner at Raglan Road (downtown Disney)

Day Six: TBD/Most likely Magic Kingdomneed to plan bkfst/lunch
5:00 – dinner at Hoop De Doo Review – show

Day Seven: TBD/Epcot or HS need to plan late lunch
9:40 – breakfast at 1900 Park Fare – character
4pm – meet DME to go to airport, arrive home 9:26pm

We still have 5 meal credits each. I need to plan another meal for days 5, 6, and 7, but just not sure where to go. The other days we'll either use TS credits/snacks to cover the third meal. DD4 is not big on costumed characters, so we're shying away from those, but lunch at H&V with Little Einsteins we think will be ok because she considers them people. :confused3

Should we switch Akershus from dinner to breakfast (9:45), snack for mid day and then VN or somewhere else for dinner?

Overall, I feel like we are using the DxDP well, and also getting some great experiences for our first trip. DH thinks it's a "go big or go home" plan, and wants to do Disney "right". :rotfl: Thanks for your input!

We do the DxDP every time because DH has the same do it up attitude!!
We love the Yak & Yeti at the AK- it has rice on the kid's menu for pickier eaters and the Won Tons for dessert are great. DH loved his Kobe Burger last time.

We are not big MK food fans so no suggestions there...

My kids love the Coral Reef for the aquarium at Epcot (although we haven't found anything really gerat on the menu yet).

The Sci-Fi is fun at HS, but only if the cheesy scary movies don't freak the kids out..

BTW the Little Einsteins were big-headed costumes and my kids did NOT like it at all. But if you tell your server they are pretty good about not coming to the table...

Something you might want to consider is TS options at the resorts. We love Ohana and Boatwright's.
Hope that helps!

Tusker House lunch at AK is a non-character buffet. Yak n Yeti TS is a really good one as well (with yummy apps)

Your TBD/MK day....lunch at Liberty Tree (really good plated meals) or the Plaza (sandwich w/ice cream for dessert).

Last day....I don't like wondering if we're going to make it back to the resort in time for DME, so we would have a late lunch at the resort. You would also have time to grab some snacks for the trip home (assuming you will have some leftover meals/snacks to use).

We are DxDDP people too.

I would do the Tusker House breakfast on day 5

I would do Crystal Palace on day 6 for either breakfast/brunch/lunch

I would do the 50's Prime Time at HS

Yes, I would change Akershus to breakfast, I like the food better but if you leave it alone you can do Cape May Cafe Breakfast at the Beach Club and then just walk into Epcot afterwards.

You missed the part about DD4 not liking characters and they wanted to stay away from the character meals.

Day Five - tusker house has already been suggested, however you could also do BOMA at AKL for breakfast. It takes 5 minutes by bus to get from AK to AKL, if the timing is right

Day Six: From MK, I would recommend taking the monorail over and having lunch at either the Grand Floridian Cafe or the Kona Cafe. It's always nice to ride the monorail and if the park is crowded on your day, it's nice to feel like you are getting away from the crowds. You could also try out the Wave at the CR too.

Day Seven: If you are going to go to a park, Epcot for me wins hands down. I would choice either Tutto, or Teppan Edo, or Coral Reef. There's also the French Restaurant - Chefs' de France. Since it's your last WDW meal, I would spend time thinking about which restaurant would make a lasting impression to carry you over until the next WDW trip. :hippie:

Chef's would be a good idea because they have Remy... your daughter doesn't like characters but this is a little rat on a plate! It's cute and not scary like the characters can be and would be a great send off from disney!
