Wanted to share our thoughts on CBR. We were there for 10 nights beginning on March 31. We had stayed at CBR before in 2000 and had liked it, but then people had not-so-great things to say about it before we left. It turned out to be just fine. In fact, it is still our favorite moderate resort. The bottom line is that everyone has a different opinion on each resort, which is fine. You can drive yourself crazy, even after multiple trips, worrying about resorts.
We didn't check in until around 6 p.m. and found we were in the 'dreaded' Trinidad South. We were in building 35, which is the closest to Trinidad North. I was ready to let that ruin my vacation until my husband told me I was being ridiculous. He is much more mellow about such things than I am! They said I could check the next day and possibly move, so we decided to see what we thought of the room before we made a decision. Interestingly, the CM at check-in told me that they were still accepting faxes and calls for room assignments. I had noted Jamaica 45 on our reservation, but didn't send a fax five days out, and obviously, we didn't get our request.
Believe it or not, we liked Trinidad South. Call us crazy. It was quiet and peaceful and didn't seem crowded. Never heard any noise from area rooms. The walk was a little long to OPR, but I didn't mind making the walk for coffee in the morning--so peaceful and pretty at that time of day. We used both the Trinidad North and South quiet pools as the main pool got pretty crazy and crowded in the afternoons. The quiet pools were great and not very busy at all. We probably didn't go to OPR as much as we would have had we been closer, but that wasn't a problem at all.
The bus stop was not much of a walk from our room. During the latter part of our stay, they were renovating the Trinidad North bus stop, so those people had to use the OPR or Trinidad South bus stop. Transportation actually ran pretty well during our stay--waits for the bus were not too long. (though we did have our car and drove a fair amount of the time)
The room was clean--got our first-ever towel animal after 10 trips to Disney. CM's okay, not overly friendly. Overall, a great trip and CBR was awesome.

We love this resort, we are going back in June for our third trip to this resort! I've read alot of negative things about this resort, but my family have NOTHING negative to say about CBR, I guess thats why we keep choosing this one to go back to. Glad you had a wonderful time!! We cant wait to get there!!
