Thought wdw discounts are odd i tried the swan/dolphin their making me crazy!

We were hoping for discounts May 1st-12th 2011 and so far nothing so I call the Swan and Dolphin about their Stay Connected Special..You pay for the first room the going rate and the second room for $119.00. Sounds good but I went in circles with them because they claim they can't tell me the dates for this offer but it states it's for any room for 2010 and 2011... so we go through a ton of dates and Nope...I hang up and start my search on their site and after an hour and 100 dates, Nope Nothing...for this offer so I call back and get the same man and I say you guys have to have some idea of the open dates for the Stay Connected Special again he says No..He ask's do you want to look up more dates I say at this rate you'll be looking for the next two weeks. What's going On? I'm mind Blown that they have this offer from now till the end of 2011 and I can't find a room at the stay connected discount rate so I gave Up.. Arrrrrrgh, Just Venting..

I called and had a similar outcome! So frustrating!

I did find out that the 'stay connected' rate is good with ANY rate on the other room (I thought that it might be that you had to book a rack rate room to receive the 'stay connected' rate). The problem I was having is that they didn't show any king beds on their website. We want 1 king room with a connecting room with 2 beds.

I wasn't ready to book...I was just trying to get an idea of what it would cost. Have you tried submitting a request for a quote from Dreams Unlimited? That's probably what I'm going to end up doing...Just a thought!

Thank You I thought I was alone on this one. I have not checked with Dreams Unlimited yet but I did call the Swan/Dolphin for the third time and had them try more dates in 2010 and 2011 and Nothing again. I just don't get it. I Love the Swan and Dolphin and have been there many times on our WDW vacations but maybe they don't want me back?
I just wish someone there would be able to find me 4 rooms for the first 2 weeks of May 2010. all I want is the special for those weeks.
I will try Dreams Unlimited but chances are I will just book at WDW 2011 package and just keep my fingers crossed for a discount down the road. so wanted to take the kids and Grand-Kiddies but the bad economy has bit us too..

I inquired about the Stay Connected rate for 2010 dates and they had no problem - tried again last night to see what they could do for 2011 and the man on the phone really had no clue - He kept asking for a promo code - and I know what he was talking about because when you try to book online, under promotions - you'll see a code section - but there isn't one for "Stay Connected" - that's why I had to call in the first place.

No problem. I'm going to try again later - if I have any luck, i'll post back...The new disney deals don't do a thing for me.

Kind of but it depends on the first rooms price for the dates you want and than the second room is only $119.00, however I have yet to find that deal and believe me I have tried on-line and on the phone whith the Swan/Dolphin themselves. How in the world could they have such a Great deal for the rest of 2010 and all of 2011 and have no weeks with the deal? Way beyond me. and I LOVE this resort but this deal is I guess a deal if you can find a week and good luck with that.

We went in May of this year and used the stay connected discount without a problem. We used a travel agent, but as far as I know there wasn't an issue. Maybe someone more informed will get on the phone Good luck!
