Thought I was getting in shape, but local amusement park kicked my butt!

We aren't going to WDW until May 2011 and I am determined to lose another 62 pounds before then. However, I have lost 26 pounds and exercise daily and "thought" I was in shape ... Until I took my DS to our local amusement park last week. We got there at 10 and only stayed until 4:00 and I was nearly killed. My feet didn't hurt, but I was just so sluggish and needed to sit down a lot!

I'm glad I did this test-run before WDW, it was a big wake up call that I have a lot of work to do for a week long trip at the World. I want this trip to be the best we have taken, and I am not going to let my weight damper a good time!

I could have posted the same exact thing, well except I haven't lost any weight. Anyway, we were'nt even into the park and I was sweating up a storm. I was with friends so talk about embassing! Well, turns out my jogging stroller had flat tires, so it really wasn't my fault.:rotfl2:

But, real ground is different than walking/running on a treadmill, that's for sure.

Good about your weight loss. Keep up the great work.

Keep in mind that there may have been more to it than "fitness levels." It's been horribly hot lately and dehydration can leave you feeling sluggish and tired. I agree with the other poster that walking on concrete and blacktop can be much harder on you than the treadmill as well. So, don't sell yourself short. And keep up the good work!!!
