I'm planning ahead for a 2014 trip, just me and my DBF.

It will be our first trip just us and also our first trip staying on site :) so I want to make it extra special.

I love all the treats and surprises you all design for the kids - invites/coupons/gift bags etc

But as we have no children there doesn't seem to be any need for these lol

However I am dying to make some stuff for our trip :)

So far I have:
- Planning binder/ journal
- luggage tags
- mousekeeping/tip envelopes

What else would you suggest?

The great thing about Disney is the young at heart have a blast too :)
Alot of people make matching T-Shirts, autograph books (I do this and our kids are grown), if you DBF does not know about the trip yet you could do a surprise letter for him. I am sure others have more ideas. I hope you have a great trip! :goodvibes

Matching shirts are a must....autograph book...decorations for your door....you said mousekeeping envelopes and journal....you can make/bring Disney Stickers or Thank yous to hand out to anyone or any CM that is being helpful....like the reverse of what they do....you can start collecting the pressed pennies and make a penny holder...I just saw the cutest bracelet made from them....per-purchase the photopass.....send a box with surprises for your boyfriend ahead of time...buy those light up bracelets and necklaces...we buy a bunch and pass them around while waiting for the parades and fireworks...I'll think of more in a few minutes...

Wow thank you! I'm so happy I found the DISigns board to help me come up with all these great ideas, it will make our trip even more magical :)

Shirt for sure and maybe a really special Welcome letter for the resort

I was considering making us just one special shirt, as we'll be there on the day when we've been together for 4 years. However that's also the day we're hoping to go to MNSSHP, so we wouldn't get much wear out of them as we'd be wearing our costumes for the second half of the day :(

GIRLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL ONE SHIRT WILL NOT DO....

Take a look at The Rust Man's Photobucket there are lots of Christmas party ones....as well as just general ones.... it makes it more special I promise....and your pics will look TONS BETTER with the matching shirts...

HH:thumbsup2

Believe me I would looooove to make hundreds of shirts :rotfl:

But I'm not sure I could get my DBF in on that, I was hoping I could push him to one for a special occasion lol Maybe I'll just have to make every day a special occasion in some way? haha

What about an invite for a couple massage or a Holiday sleigh ride for two, also when in Disney it is the one time you get to be a a "kid again" have fun Hon.

I have been making shirts for DH and I for the last few years. The DISigners on here are amazing. You can do manly things such as pirates or grumpy etc. if he's a bit squeamish about wearing "Disney" shirts. You can even get Mickey with attitude! :rotfl: Believe me, once he gets there and sees how many people wear Disney clothes, he'll feel better about it. I also always print Mousekeeping envelopes. I have Mickey Christmas window clings to put up in our room windows.

I don't know how skilled you are, but if you sew at all, you could make a tote bag that is Mickey themed. There's lots of great Disney fabric to be had and a tote is not all that complicated.

It is so fun to plan for the trip and you're starting way in advance, so you'll have lots of fun figuring things out. Good luck!:thumbsup2
