I just checked for my refund on the Irs site it says I should have it by the 10th. On Santa Barbra's site it now says:The IRS did not deposit funds to your account as originally expected. The IRS usually makes refund deposits within 9 to 16 days, but your deposit was not received within that period of time. At times the IRS will delay a refund deposit by one week, so you may check back at this site seven days from now. If no deposit is made by then, you should contact the IRS. For more information on the status of your refund, we recommend you visit the IRS website at www.irs.gov and select the "Where's My Refund?" link. Thank you. Has anyone else had this that was due a refund this friday??

UPDATE: I just spoke with the irs and the lady told me they were having issues with thier direct deposit system and it is showing on her screen that it is to be direct depoisted on 2-6 still:thumbsup2

DS was supposed to get his refund last Friday, now it says it won't be until the 10th. He is really disappointed as he needs it to get his new car.

Does everyone who does Turbo Tax have to go through Santa Barbara Bank & Trust. I paid for my Fees with my Credit Card and thought that you only had to go through them if you have your feed deducted?

Any Help woould be appreiciated

I heard from a friend that the email from Santa Ana Bank is a fraudulant email. The IRS does not deal with them. Don't provide them with any info!!!

Wow, that's weird. My Mom was supposed to get her refund Friday 2/6, but it was already deposited on the 3rd. :confused3

I am just speaking from my experience. Supposedly US Bank owns this bank and when we called them they said they have nothing to do with the return, they didn't send the email and that we should report it to the IRS.

I think people are getting Santa Barbara Bank and Trust (which I used every year until this year after the fiasco with our stimulus checks last year) and other banks with Santa as the first word. Santa Barbara is a real bank that Turbo Tax contracts with to allow individuals to have their turbo tax fees (plus a nominal fee for their services:sad2: ) deducted from the return rather than paying with a credit card.

OP I am glad you were able to talk to someone at the IRS and get your questions answered.

If you paid for the fees yourself instead of having them automatically deducted from your tax refund then you wont have to deal with Santa Barbara. I paid mine also from a credit card and glad I did so.

Thank You I thought this was the case I used them Last Year and was not happy with the whole Stimulus Check ordeal.

I am not sure what Santa Barbara Bank is but I did mine through H and R Block and it was accepted the 26th of January. The irs website still says it is being processed and SHOULD be deposited by the 10th. Many times the Where's my refund part didn't even acknowledge our information. It comes and goes. My tax professional said they are pulling peoples returns due to the stimulus payment last year and also EIC. No idea when I will actually get it but we needed it yesterday. My mom filed hers days after us and got her refund today (less than 7 days total). Instead of them working on people's in order on when they were accepted, apparently they are picking and choosing whose will go through. There isn't any reason ours should still be being processed nine days later when a tax professional did it to begin with. So I guess it is affecting everyone. The irs actually put a statement on their website on January 30th about it under the stimulus section. Check it out. Good luck!!:sad2:
