I was reading another thread on here about having baby teeth pulled on small breed dogs while they in surgery for their spay or neuter. It reminded me to posting this information. We used this service for both of our dogs. We have a 9 year old mix breed and a 1 year old dachshund. We were able to use these certificates both times. Thought I would pass it on. Since this is a BUDGET BOARD.

That is a good budget tip too.

I didn't know to check on this when I had my first dog spayed. sure which I would have done it then, it would have saved me money and been easier on my pet. I made sure to have it done when I got my second dog!

Those baby teeth don't always fall out and it can create real issues with the adult teeth.

Everyone should definitely check your local humane society. We had our sweet kitty neutered for $10 on "Tom Cat Tuesday". Same procedure/anesthesia/meds that my vet wanted $81 to do. They have great prices on spay/neuter as well as vaccines and medications. My vet wants $26 per tube of Revolution while I can get 3 tubes for only $41 at the humane society. Big budget saver. We also had him microchipped for only $10.

Thakns for sharing that! Some friends adopted a dog from a shelter and now it's not workign out. Not the dog's fault. SHe is not spayed and I am considering taking her until a permanent home can be found. However, I want to get that done. I don't need a cycling female in my house.

Yes, check with your local humane society or city shelter. Our humane society offers a voucher for about 1/2 off the cost of a spay/neuter and at our city shelter we have a low cost ($10) program for low to moderate income folks. We also do $20 microchipping and low cost vaccinations once a month at our shelter for anyone regardless of income.
