Those of you who call asking for a 40% discount...

Never hurts to call - I received a call from a Disney manager about the email I sent over all the pin confusion (whole other issue.) She told me I DID have a pin attached to my name for last December and January. I was just never notified.
Wow, that's frustrating!

Eh, not really. Couldn't have gone at either time anyways. Just seems stupid to me that they wouldn't notify you if you have a pin.

I've given up on discounts at Disney. Even the AP rates are a joke now. Two years ago, I never had a problem getting a discount with my AP. Since then, forget it. I called the day they were released for May and the only place that had any discount left was ASSports.

Not that Disney cares, but I for one am taking a competitor (won't mention names or post will be deleted) up on their offer. 7 days admission for less than the cost of 1 day at Disney, plus a hotel discount. If someone's trying that hard to earn my business, they deserve to get it.

Okay, I take it you had to have stayed on Disney property before to have a code, correct? The only time we stayed on Disney property was back in 1998 and we stayed at the Poly. Any chance that they'd still have our information and that there could be a code? I'd love to go down in July after visiting North Carolina, but only if there was a room at a moderate resort for under $100. If I call and they tell me that there is a code, will the code still be there - I mean do I have to know right then and there if I want to book a room, or can I call back when I know for sure? I don't want to waste the code if it's there!
Thanks:cloud9:

There has been so much confusion over the ‘code’…..

I think you should just call (I’m sure they still have you in their system) and find out. Any quote you get can always be put on a 14 day courtesy hold and that will give you time enough to decide to take advantage of the offer you’re given – be it discounted or not. Good luck – I hope you have a code waiting!

Hope my advice helps. I’ve always thought if you don’t ask, then you are the only one telling yourself no – nothing ventured, nothing gained and all that.

Forgive my ignorance everyone, :confused3 - just wondering what number you call to ask if you have a pin attached to your name? Thanks!

The first time I got a code was in 2005. The only time I'd ever been to WDW was August 1991 with a friend's family. So I don't think that's the criteria, but who knows?:confused3

Can the reservation be changed at a later date and still use the code? I mean, let's say I call in and have a code attached to my name, or use one of those general codes and I make a reservation at a value resort for 2 rooms. We have a child in college and if she comes home, she will want to go with us, which means we might have to upgrade to a Moderate resort. Can I transfer the code to a new reservation at a different date?princess:
