I go the tip here to buy the filtered water bottles from brita because the water at disney tastes bad, the problem is that brita discontinued these and they are hard to find. I have found a replacement and I received them today, great product. The bottles are called Pure Water 2 Go and can only be ordered on line. $6.99 for the bottle and somewhere between $4-5 shipping.

I can't post URL links yet so google Pure water 2 go and it will come up. Hope this helps anyone looking for the brita water bottles

lilsunshine.. I just pm'd you.. just a heads up..

Thanks so much for the help! I had a brita bottle a while back but lost it. This will be PERFECT for trips with the family. We wont have to search for and pay for expensive bottled water anymore.

FYI to all, PureWater2GO has a "family pack" special. You get a free bottle!! go check it out on their website.

Where did you find the Culligan ones?? We get water service from them already, and I'd love to get a couple filter bottles for our upcoming trip. Maybe I'll ask our delivery guy when he comes today  Any more info though would be great!! :)

Interesting fact on the Brita bottles from the purewater to go company.

THIS IS FROM A RECENT EMAIL
""Excellent. Thank you very much! We do get a lot of calls from people that are going on family trips and to disneyworld that want our bottles.

It's funny that you mention the Brita bottle. That was actually our bottle!! Brita was making it and selling it illegally against our patent. About 3 years ago we sued them and won the case. That is the reason they no longer sell them.""

I guess thats why we can't find them!!

I looked at the culligan bottles, but they are more expensive than the Pure Water 2GO bottles for the same thing.

I'd also love reviews on the Water 2Go. WE've always been happy with other Culligan products, but if the Water 2 Go is just as good and cheaper, then I'm sold ;)

Thanks for the replies!

After reading everythin on this thread I ordered filters from Purewater2go. I will post again after I use them to let folks know what I think. I read several unappealing things about Culligan and decided to avoid them.

My family has used both the Brita and Culligan bottles. We like the Culligan. The bottles are made from a thicker and more pliable plastic. They're also clear, so that you can easily check the water level. I've purchased most of our Culligan bottles at reasonable prices on eBay.

In over 50 trips to WDW, we've only had one casualty. Hubby tossed a water bottle from the far end of a bench in Epcot over three kids' heads to me. I missed, the bottle rolled downhill from Mexico and the cap cracked. This was in 2001, but the broken cap has made it through loads of Disney trips without leaking. Great product!

Pure Water 2GO also has a "Biological" bottle that you can take overseas or to mexico. It will filter out bacteria and bad things from the water. Great to have if you are not sure if the water is safe or not.

Did you get yours in yet? What do you think? Mine came in last week, and I love them! Also, I had a great experience with the customer service people. They are very helpful!! I had to expedite my order becuase my son was going to camp and needed the bottle, and they got it out the same day no problem.

Pure Water 2GO is all A's in my book.

I got the family pack they are offering, you get a free bottle. I have the 16oz sports bottles. They are smaller and easier to carry. You can fill it just about anywhere, so I didnt want a huge one. I think they have a larger bottle also.

If your kids do a lot of camping, then you want to look at their "biological" bottle. It filters out bacteria and other bad things. So you can drink from a lake or stream!!

As of today so far , no. We live in the middle of no where so I expect it may take a day or two longer. Hope by monday:confused3

bevtoy--where in the middle of nowhere Illinois are you?? I live in a small town near Galesburg. :wave2: Just wanted to say 'Hi Neighbor' ;)

Ok, so I've been looking for the Brita bottles to no avail. I did find replacement filters for $2.00 a box.

For those that have the Pur bottles, what size do you have and can you give me a comparison in size?? I can't really judge the size by the pics.

THANKS! :sunny:

According to the web sites posted in this thread, both the Culligan and Pur bottles come in 16oz and 27oz capacities.

For comparisson, the Brita Fill and Go bottle is 23oz, and a standard bottle of Coke or Dasani carried by WDW eateries and carts is 20oz.
