Those of you trying to find Brita fill and go...

The 16oz sport bottles I have are a little bit larger than a soda can. They are made of very durable plastic, and seem to be very well made. You can drop it or stuff it in a suitcase, and it won't hurt it.

I just ordered the family special, 4 for the price of 3 from pure2go! I hope we like& use them for our Oct trip.

I'm sure you will!! I LOVE mine, they are so easy and portable.

On the Pure Water website, they have two kinds of bottles with different filters. The clear ones are different than the opaque ones. Is one better than the other?

The clear one comes with the "level 1" filter. It only filters out chlorine and odors. Great for making tap water taste good.

The sport bottles come with the "level 2" filter. It filters out the chlorine, PLUS mercury and lead. This is great if you have an older home. A lot of older homes were built with metal pipe using lead solder. This solder over time can seep into the water that is running through the pipes. Also this is the case if you are refilling at water fountains, sinks, or hoses where you are not sure of the quality of the tap water. Good idea to get the better filter just in case.

Thanks so much for this info. I just ordered some of these, but doubt they will be here by the time we leave in 8 days. That's ok. If they don't arrive, we'll save them for the next trip.

I bought the 16oz clear size. I wish that the clear ones came in the family pack, but they do not. I'm just very happy to have found this smaller size. We had the Brita and Culligan. I found both too big to lug around when full, especially when I would be carrying someone elses water too. When I ordered the Culligan, I should have ordered the smaller size, but didn't. I liked Brita better than Culligan because the shape of the bottle was easier to carry on a lanyard. Also, for me, the Brita bottle top was easier to open and the cap was easier to unscrew. No matter the brand, anything is better than drinking the resort water. :) I had just always wished I had a smaller bottle, so my wish has been granted. Thanks again, Tink

For those of you who ordered from purewater2go, how long did it take for you to get them from the time you ordered? I'm leaving in two weeks and hope I can get them in time. Don't know if I would need to pay extra for express shipping.

I read when I placed my order that they always ship within 1-2 business days from the time they get the order. So if you place your order today, it will ship on monday or tuesday.

They are really good about helping if you have questions or want to do something different.

You will love them!! They are so handy. I got a couple in some other sizes just to try them out. I now keep one on my desk at work and refill it from the water fountain, it tastes SO much better!!

I also got one of the biological bottles and put it with my family emergency supply kit, just in case. One of the cities close to me sent out a message to all the residents last week that the tap water was not safe to drink, something had happened to the water supply. They were telling everybody to boil that water. If that ever happens, that will be a perfect time to grab that bio bottle. I think everybody should have one.

Yes, they ship worldwide. I have a friend overseas that ordered some bottles. You just put in your address and make sure you select your country. Worldwide shipping is going to be a lot more expensive (obviously), so you should probably place a larger order to save money.

Order some for friends or family. One larger order will be a lot cheaper than ordering a bunch of smaller orders over time.

bexplosive...thanks for your reply, i've just been and had a look at the shipping (hadn't realised it was worldwide), but unfortunately the shipping is $66 a bit too much i'm afraid.

if anyone knows where i can get one with cheaper shipping (maybe in UK?) i'd love to hear about it.

thanks

hi all,

just did a search and found uk based site selling a similar type of water filter bottle. shop-com (co.uk). they cost £7.50 each and postage is about £3.50.

i might order myself a couple but only snag is you can't by replacement filters. can you buy replacement filters for the others mentioned on here? and also is there anywhere in orlando that perhaps we could buy one of these from a shop while we're there?

thanks again

I didn't see replacement filter on the purewater2go website, but I find the site a bit difficult to navigate. I thought maybe since the bottles were less than $7 each, you don't get filters. 200 uses and you chuck it?

hiya,

they do do replacement filters for the purewater2go bottles, under products, filters. $6.99 for 2 filters, works out much cheaper doing that than buying here! anyone know of an orlando shop selling these?

Yes, unfortunatly shipping worldwide is expensive. :(

That's why you should order a lot of items and split the cost of the shipping with people you know.

I'm sure they offer volume discounts. You should call them and order hundreds of bottles at a discount and sell them yourself!! Especially since there doesnt seem to be anything like it near you. :)

The purewater2go bottles INCLUDE the bottle and the filter. All for under $7 -- that's why it's the best deal on the internet!!

The replacement filters are under the "filters" section on their website. They come in 2-packs and 12-packs.

I didn't even think they had filters by themselves. I did realize they came with the bottle. (I was responding to someone else's question).

Thanks for the link, though. If I use the direct link to the Replacement Filter page, it works. I'm not sure why I can't get to it from the home page. I'm showing no link for something like "Products". The only thing I see on the page is the drop of water and "Free Filter Bottle - Click Here". AaAAAAAH!

You dont see the menu up at the top? Thats strange :confused3

Well, at least you can get to the filters now. Also, here is the link to the Biological Bottle page, just in case you wanted to get one of those.
