If you work for a large corporation, please check with your HR department about whether or not your company matches donations for disaster relief. I know that the contractor we use at my location does match, dollar for dollar, employee donations for disaster relief. But in order for the match to occur, the employee must fill out the proper paperwork.
So if you are donating, please find out if taking a few extra minutes for paperwork might increase your donation to those that need the help.
