Those Lucite cube thingys...

I can't recall what they are called, but I saw some posts awhile back about them. Can anyone tell me about how much they run and if you can have a pix put in them using a photograph? Or do the subjects have to be there. I thought this might be a good Father's Day present for my bro-in-law, but my niece and nephew will not be with me, so I'd need to use a photo of them. Any info?

I don't know how much they were but i did ask the guy at MK if i had a picture could i use that because my kids weren't with us, and he said yes. Then before i left i forgot to go back and get it done, it wasn't expensive i remember.

I am a deal attorney and I get lucites or cubes as gifts from the investment bankers for working certain deals. A client had me look into the cost of a lucite and they can run a bit. This was several years ago, but a nice lucite back then was over $100.

I FOUND IT.

It's called Imageworks and it's in Epcot. They are on GLASS not lucite. They start at $29.95 and go up to $199, depending. You CAN use a pix to do a 2D image, but if you want the 3D image, the one that looks like your head floating in glass, that must be done in person. If you use a pix, all they ask is that it be clear and should be a head shot, or close up, as a full body image makes the head too small to scan. They will take the pix and scan it, then give it back. Sounds like the perfect father's day present for my bro-in-law.
