she still has very little energy, and trouble using her arm and leg(as evidenced by her typing above) her facial numbness is better today and is her ability to walk, steady getting better just goingto take time. we see family dr at 330 to get test results and rest of treatment options for now, i took off work again today to be here with her and am off for the weekend so we have until monday that i can keep an eye on her.

Froggy and Jules: You are in my heart and I will put you on my prayer list. God be with you. Warm thoughts and hugs are coming your way as I type.

ok official results are in. was not TIA was actuall stroke. dr very upbeat for full recovery though, says she should steadily regain use of right arm and leg, supposed to see neurologist asap, hopefully tuesday here in town, have her mom coming to stay with her monday so i can go to work, then will decide whether i stay home for neuo appointment once we find out when it is. dr says no house work for a while, no lifting over 15 lbs, no sweating or heavy exertion. the mri did show stroke where cat scan missed it tests for circulatio were ok, as was her blood work.

Froggy, I'm glad that least her blood work is ok. My 16 yo niece had a stroke 2 weeks ago today but it's her left side that is affected. In those 2 weeks, she has been able to start using her leg. Her arm and hand were completely immobile but now she can close her hand into a fist. Just sharing this with you, so you can see that in a relatively small amount of time, function is returning.
You both remain in my prayers.

At least you know what happened. I'm glad to hear the dr is expecting a full recovery. Continued good thoughts and prayers heading your way

I'm glad to hear that the doctor thinks her prognosis is so good. I will continue to pray for you both. I think it's a great sign that she feels more like herself.

So sorry I missed this earlier in the week:hug:

Prayers for a quick, speedy recovery.

Wanting to be outside is a great sign. Hopefully the weather will cooperate.
Keep us updated.

well after a bout of worry about the future, money, her health, the kids, me, etc and a good cry, she went out for a while, checked our her morningglory blooms, sat by the pool, harvested her herbs and put them out to dry in the sun, walked around the yard for a few minutes, talked to two of the kids that have moved away, and ate a huge breakfast. shes now resting again, still a little shaky and lists to the right when she walks, but feeling ok
