I am so concerned about the weather in Orlando. We are on the east coast, so experiencing the same thing but the weather seems to change by 10+ degrees each day. Yesterday was only 75 in orlando with a low in the 50's, todays high is 84, low 64.

I have so many adorable summer outfits for DD that are tanks/sleeveless and I'm afraid its going to be too cold. I hate having to pack for 3 different seasons for a weeks vacation. I'm afraid they will be cold in shorts, especially at night. And how cold are the restaurants??

Our last trip was in August and there was no doubt it would be warm.

So, if you are going in the next 2 weeks (I know there are alot of us) what do you plan on packing for the kids to wear. I'm not so worried about DH & I, we can deal with it.

So far I've packed mostly shorts , sunsuits, tanks, etc. I am throwing in a windbreaker, and a pair of jeans just in case. I thought if it did get cool they would wear jeans with about anything and I could wash them if needed. But from what I have read, It should be in the low to mid eighties in the next couple of weeks. :Pinkbounc  :Pinkbounc

So far I have only packed shorts and tank tops and short sleeve shirts. I might throw in a pair of pants for everyone (evenings you never know???) I figure if it gets cold enough that we would need a sweatshirt, then I would have an excuse to buy one there

My husband and I always have the saying when we are packing for vacation "If we forget it, we will just buy it there". It saves on a lot of stress and very rarely will we have to buy something we forgot.

we went in Dec 04 and Florida was going through a wicked cold spell. Some days it was in the 30s & 40s!! We had to buy winter sweaters and coats while we were there as it was way too cold to go out in regular fall clothes.

I've never seen MK and IOA so empty in my life. It was virutally abandoned and there was not a line in sight in either place. Sometimes it felt we were the only ones around...

I also plan on packing shorts (and short sleeve dresses - my DD LOVES dresses). The biggest thing to remember is the humidity. It may "only" be 75 but with the sun and the humidity, it'll feel hotter.

I do also plan on packing a pair of jeans for each of the kids and a sweatshirt, just in case it gets cool at night (a distinct possibility), as well as bringing windbreakers. And the ever popular ponchos! ;) I kind of envision a pair of jeans at night with a short sleeve shirt and the windbreakers along for the ride.

Worst case scenario they end up wearing the jeans every day (with me ending up washing them at night!). :sad1:

No matter what I'll probably not have the right things and we'll just have to make the best of it!!! :confused3

Enjoy your trips!

Lynne

We plan on packing shorts. But we will take a jacket and some pants in case we need them. Anything down there has to be better than up here right now.

we are leaving in 4 sleeps ... yeah! We are packing mostly shorts and sun suits for ds (but a few outfits with sleeves for sun block and indoor temps). We also have a few long sleeve shirts and long pants packed incase of a cold spell. The only time we have been cold was a two yrs ago in November ... we spent a fortune on WDW sweatshirts/etc!!!

We live on the opposite side of the gulf and have been wearing summer clothes everyday anyhow. The cold fronts that are passing through from the north just pulls us down to mid-seventies to low eighties. The lows of the fifties & sixties don't hang around past 9 am. I'll probably throw in a pair of jeans for each of us, and a sweater for myself as most my maternity shirts are sleeveless, but that's about it.

We're leaving tomorrow- and packing capri's, shorts, and one pair of jeans. We'll be wearing our jackets down- highs in the 50s here! I'm thinking capris on Thursday, but after that it gets mid to upper 80s so shorts should be okay.

For my 11 yr old I'm packing just shorts, t'shirts.

He'll have zip-off cargo pants and a sweatshirt for the plane. We're taking a red-eye out of San Francisco on Friday.

YYzgurl WE were also there in Dec 04 and almost froze.Epcot was empty. We were the only ones there in the park. We are leaving in one week and plan on taking shorts and short sleeves, so we can mix theshirts with jeans if necessary.

Thanks, I guess I will just pack the "summer" clothes and hope for nice warm days. We are flying at night too so both kids will wear khakis going down and I'll throw in a pair of jeans just in case. DD's capris are almost long pants anyway so I think she'll be fine. And I'm looking for an excuse to buy Disney sweatshirts, LOL!!! :earsboy:

You can't go wrong with a little bit of everything: shorts, capris and a long pant or two. It is usually plenty hot in May, so I wouldn't worry about packing a lot of things for cold weather.

I also am concerned about what to bring. I am not so worried about daywear, bringing all the essentials. But what about pj's? :confused3 My 1 yr old still wears the heavy feetie pj's and I was thinking of packing them for nighttime, because of the airconditioning???? Do you think thats right, or should I run out and get summer pj's? Or I could just use onsies, right? I don't know I think that I am just panicking because I leave in 10 days, and feel I am not ready at all. Not that I haven't been obsessively planning this trip for 6 months or anything!

Well, since the air conditioning is completely under your control, I would just have the baby wear what he (she?) normally wears. If you can't keep covers on and you like it cold at night, go with the footie pajamas.
