Ok I need to hear more about this, I did not see them on the room serice menu before. I would love to have some in our room on my birthday night. We could sip champagne on the veranda and have them- But are they just for the concierge guests?/?

Hi Ginger! Actually, it was DCL that gave us the petit four tray; our AAA TA sent us wine and crackers! The card from DCL said to enjoy the cruise and not the weight gain! LOL My MIL and kids were staying next door and they also got a petit four tray from them, too! They also sent a HUGE tray of the chocolate strawberries and THOSE chocolate chip cookies about midway thru because they'd lost my 6yo ds's luggage. So we had plenty of chocolate to snack on while sitting on the verandah....sigh.... I wish we were back on there....Originally posted by "Ginger"
ZooMommy, what a nice gift from your TA.
DCL doesn't give that kind of presents to guest. A small cake is usually served after one of your rotation dinners to celebrate any special occasions. We've celebrated 4 anniversaries and 1 birthday with Disney Cruise Lines.
We booked through DVC and they do nothing for your birthday. (well that's nto true I did get the cake in the dining room last time) we cruised on my birthday last year too and there were no stateroom gifts. DVC does not do that I guess only travel agents do.Originally posted by ZooMommy
Be sure and let your TA know that your birthday is during your cruise. We got a DECADENT strawberries/petit four tray and Moet champagne on our first Disney cruise back in July. We were in a category 6, so it's definitely not just for concierge! If you're celebrating any special occasion, let your TA or DCL res agent know so they can surprise you!
How true! On our first cruise, my husband ordered the mouse takes the cheese platter for us and the tote bag of goodies for our son. I think it did say love Jay and love Dad respectively but it may not haveOriginally posted by FantasticDisFamily
Just a thought gang - some of those unusual goodies in your staterooms may actually be courtesy of a friend or family member that knows you're going.
