My usual go to places are:

ToysRus
Target
Happy Hen toys
All Aboard Toys
My Toy Box
Walmart
Charles Ro Supply

and some local toy shops

any other online places I may be missing?

Our Barnes and Nobles carry some Thomas trains and sets. Other than BN, we usually get our Thomas trains from our local toy shop.

If you have a Michael's Arts & Craft store in your area. Check to see if they carry them. We used to buy them there, and were able to use the 40% off coupon. Our local store stopped carrying them over the last yr, but I'm not sure if others did the same.

AC Moore with the 40% off coupon they put in paper or get from store.

Are you talking about the wooden set? We had a regular wooden set that we bought that came with a table at Costco which we ended up getting rid of. DH, DS, and I all enjoyed the Thomas sets take along sets with the plastic track sets. He has several of the stations and tons and tons of Thomas trains. He doesn't play with them anymore but we are saving them for our someday grandchildren. It kind of makes me sad he doesn't play with them. :( I loved watching him build tracks all over the house...

We got the sets at Walmart, TRU, Target, Kohl's, anywhere that sold them...

michaels and ac moore with their 40-50% coupons

Our Michaels stopped carrying them a few months back, but AC Moore still has a good selection. You can use the coupons on them, and around the holidays they usually have a lot of good sales on Thomas stuff.

Not that it will help you now but when my oldest was into Thomas I was able to get really good deals on eBay in the summer. I have also been told about Michaels but have never seen them there.

I've gotten a lot of stuff from kidswoot.com, Amazon, as well as craigslist. But I've also purchased some things at Target and once in a while at TRU if there is a sale.

ACMoore was where I always got them for my DS. Went there this Black Friday with my sis for her grandson. They were B1G1 1/2 off and a coupon for a % off. Don't remember the % now, it was kind of a blurry day! :thumbsup2

We have a stash of Thomas in the attic for grandkids, although my DS hung on to them L-O-N-G after it was probably cool to have them. He kept them in a bag and he'd put it in my room when friends came over. Don't tell, but sometimes I'll go in and find him watching it on Sprout at night when nothing else good is on :cloud9: I love my boy :cloud9:

OMG! You have no idea how hard it was to find Thomas wooden railway items 9-10 years ago! They were not available in stores with the exception of Hammett's (a teacher store) and another small store that featured high-end toys! Now Thomas is everywhere! I can't tell you how much I ordered from ebay and from specialty shops around the country!

thanks I forgot about Micheals and SC Moore.

he actually collects all 3 types!
we have a huge collection of wood, metal, and plastic.

I am on the hunt for a couple of wooden ones, but one is new and one is retired, I found out. so I have a bid in on one on ebay , the retired one.
