They have finally removed the words "River Country" from the signs on WDW property.

maybe someday they will open a virtual River Country in Disney Quest in honor of the fallen attraction

How sad!

That was such a fun park too. I loved hanging on the t-bar rope thing & falling into the water.

There is most likely a $20 bill in the middle of the lake that my cousin's cousin lost. It fell out of his pocket while we were swimming some time in the mid-80's.

The thought of the pool slide gives me the heebie jeebies. It always freaked me out.

Do they do anything with that pool?

We were told on our last trip, it had a lot to do with "health issues" - keeping the water clean etc.

we were there the 2nd week in june and they were taking them down then. it was there in the beg of the week and then i think it was thursday we went by and they were changing the signs!
