This week at PI? Hotel Location?

I posted this on the WDW solo board, but get much more responses here
I'll be in Orlando for conference this week, but I"m hoping to sneek out for a night either Tues or THurs (Oct 5 or 7). Any ideas? I've never been to PI.. wheres a good place to go? I won't know anyone..so I'll prolly go by myself. I love dance music, but am open to anything.
Also, I'm either staying at JW Marriot or Ritz in Orlando... anyone know the proximity of these hotels to DTD area? Taxi costs?

My boyfriend and I went to PI almost every night when we were in Orlando.

I loved the Adventurers Club. We both enjoyed the Rock -N- Roll beach club. I also went to the Comedy Warehouse.

The other clubs weren't very crowded. I think 8 Trax would be fun to go to if you go with a group of friends, so may not be fun solo.

If you love Dance Music you will probably like Manequins (or maybe even Motion which we never made it to).

We stayed on-site so I am not sure how far the hotel is. My boyfriend went to PI when he was in town for a conference a few years ago and he said he had a very hard time getting a cab back. So maybe if you take a cab there, I would suggest getting the dispatchers number and calling them when you are ready to leave.

We stayed at the JW Marriott Grande Lakes last month for a few days before we headed to WDW. It is a *beautiful* hotel! Has an amazing pool, too.

It was about a 15 minute drive from the JW to DTD.
